Roger Edmund "Red" Aiken
Celebration of Life for Mr. Aiken will be 5 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the home of his daughter, 2009 Beech Log Road, Watertown.
Mr. Aiken, 78, of Gouverneur, N.Y., died Friday, April 30, 2010 at University Medical Center while visiting family. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of Canton Agricultural Technical Institute. Mr. Aiken was a retired field supervisor for Crowley Foods in Lafargeville, N.Y. He was a 55 year Mason of Amber Lodge #395.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albon and Mary Haight Aiken.
Survivors include: wife of 57 years, Alice Aiken; daughter, Brenda Aiken (Jim) Sweeney; son, Shawn (Marti) Aiken; granddaughters, Jenna and Allie Aiken; sister, Audrey (Eugene) Groebler and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoication or a charity of one's choice.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Beulah Colvin
Services for Mrs. Colvin will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. John Burge officiating. Entombment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Colvin, 89, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charles A. Colvin; daughter, Barbara Colvin; and parents, Loren and Hattie Page.
Survivors include: son, Greg Colvin of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Carolyn Colvin of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim and Aaron Staggs, Bob Holmes, Bill Whitcomb, Bill Slocum and Josh Colvin.
Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Scott
A private burial for Mr. Scott was conducted Tuesday, May 4 in Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Scott, 78, of Lebanon, died Monday, May 3, 2010 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. Born Kenneth Paul Scott in Carthage, he was the son of the late Walter Fowler and Hattie Maryella Kerr Scott. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had worked in the construction industry. He was Pentecostal in faith.
Survivors include: sister, Morine S. (Walter) Ramsey of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
Sanderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Nancy Vantrease
Graveside services for Mrs. Vantrease will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 6 at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.
Mrs. Vantrease, 81, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010.
She was preceded in death by husband, John W. Vantrease; parents, Charles and Nancy Ray Nolan; and granddaughter, Christy Michelle Lee.
Survivors include: son, Edward A. Vantrease; daughters, Nancy V. Thornburg and Judy McGee; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers Cotton Oakley, Karson Allford, John Murtry, Barry Jamison, Johnny Hopper and Erik.
