Ben Tarver Hagan
Graveside services for Mr. Hagan are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8 at Wilson County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Larry Pedigo officiating.
Mr. Hagan, 75, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus. Born in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Ben Tarver Hagan Sr. and Anna Eddins Hagan. He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received his Masters Degree from Ohio State University. He was an engineer and taught at Ohio State University where he served as the Engineering Placement Director.
Survivors include: wife of 53 years, Mary Smith Hagan; daughters, Michelle Hagan of Incline Village, Nev., Melessa (Donald) Norcross and Teresa (Charles) Wharton all of Columbus; grandchildren, Phillip, Angela, Benjamin and Kay Norcross, Kyle, Mary and Ryan Wharton; and sister, Nanette Fizette of Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the Leeville United Methodist Church.

Nell Hankins Hudspeth
Services for Mrs. Hudspeth will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Brandon and the Rev. Kenneth Tramel officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hudspeth, 98, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010. She was a member of Shop Springs Baptist Church and retired from May Hosiery Mill in Nashville after 35 years of service.
She was preceded in death by husband, Percy Hudspeth; daughter, Nellie Ruth Alexander; and brother, Frank Hankins.
Survivors include: friends, Shirley and Dot Judkins, Teresa, Lauren and Sarah Grace Harris, Kim and Allie Hunter and Jenny Leigh Hall.

Mary Sue Young
Services for Mrs. Young will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 9, at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes with Bros. Dickie Johnson and George Reed, officiating. Interment will follow in Gordonsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday and 2-8 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Young, 84, died Thursday, May 6, at her home. She was born in April in Putnam County, Tenn. Her lifelong career as an educator touched thousands in Smith and Wilson counties. In retirement, she continued to serve those in her community with her involvement in business, civic and local library boards.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lloyd Young, and her great-granddaughter, Ava Bright.
Survivors include: sons, Don (Regina) Young and Kevin (Karen) Young; grandchildren, Joshua, Brooke, Krista, Dustin and Sydney; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Addison and Aynslee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Gordonsville Public Library are requested.
