Charlotte Hibdon Cassetty
Services for Mrs. Cassetty will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Christian and Dr. George Robertson officiating. Interment will be in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cassetty, 61, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Wilson County, the daughter of Charles and Ruby Massey Hibdon. She was a 1966 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She worked for Lux Clock for 21 years before starting nursing at McFarland Hospital in 1990. She was an LPN at University Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hibdon; mother, Ruby Massey Hibdon Buhler.
Survivors include: husband of 44 years, Richard L. Cassetty; children, Sherri Cassetty of Lebanon and Richard (Marsha) Cassetty Jr. of Brentwood; grandchildren, Ricky and Eddie Cassetty of Brentwood; sister, Gertrude (Tom) Hallums of Lebanon; brother, James (Billie) Hibdon of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Roger McKinney, Dr. R. Shah, Dr. Steven Neeley, Fred Powers, Dr. Dewayne Lett, Bill Tarpley. Honorary pallbearers will be the doctors, nurses and staff of University Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherry’s Run.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 with services for Mrs. Hickerson to follow at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Eld. Gerald Ogilvie officiating.
Mrs. Hickerson, 85, of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at Northside Healthcare Center.
Survivors include: son, Nathaniel Smith of Murfreesboro; nieces, Annie Hickerson and Josie Miles; and a host of cousins and friends.
Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
James Anthony Stamps
Services for Mr. Stamps will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Johnny Brown, Bro. Darrell Duncan and Lynn McCulloch officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Stamps, 103, of Mt. Juliet, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009. He was a member and former Elder of Center Chapel Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Grace Fleming Stamps; wife, Irene Logue Stamps; son, Ted Stamps; seven brothers and sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include: children, Jimmy (Juanita) Stamps, Blanche (Johnny) Vannatta and Martha (Herman) Coleman; brother, Tommy Stamps; sister, Frances Oliver; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wendell, Wayne, Austin, Steve and Tony Stamps, Mark and Jim Coleman and Adam Sparks. Honorary pallbearers will be Elder and Deacons of Center Chapel Church of Christ, James Powell, Gary Sole, Glenn Helms, Tanner and Tyler Simms and Robert Rhea.
