Willie Hatton Baskin Jennings “Billie” Givens
Services for Mrs. Givens will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon with Bro. Donald Owens officiating. Interment will be in Jennings Cemetery in Statesville. The family will be receiving friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Givens, 81, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010.
She was preceded in death by parents, Alvia and Bessie Walls Baskin; son, Fred Jennings; and brother, Jerry Baskin.
Survivors include: husband of 10 years, George Givens; daughters, Joyce (Sam) Gaddis and Kathy (Russ) French; siblings, Bobby (Katherine) Baskin, Betty (John) Fields and Jimmy (Jeanie) Baskin; grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Gaddis, Sean (Valerie) Gaddis, Keeley (Steve) Homa, Laura French, Jessi (Ken) Knack, Daniel (Jennifer) Burnell and Amanda (Josh) Sanker; great-grandchilden, Sara Gaddis, Christina Gaddis, Abigail Gaddis, Parker Homa, Bralen Knack, Gage Knack, Kinley Sanker and Norah Burnell.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Gaddis, Sean Gaddis, Sam Gaddis, Russ French, Steve Homa, Ken Knack, Daniel Burnell, and Josh Sanker. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Baskin and Jimmy Baskin.
Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Vera Oneta Langford
Services for Mrs. Langford will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Westmoreland Church of Christ with Randy Wells officiating. Interment will be in Eulia Cemetery. Visitation will be until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Langford, 78, of the Fairview Community in Macon County, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include: husband, Billy Langford of the Fairview Community; daughters, Bonita (Bud) Brandon of Lebanon and Trina (Tony) Woodard of Hartsville; son, Lynn Langford of the Fairview Community; brothers, Henry (Eva Jewell) Davis of Hartsville and David (Patricia) Davis of Westmoreland; sisters, Shirly (Johnny) Jones of Ashland City and Shelby Davis of the Fairview Community; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Margaret A. Lynn
Ms. Lynn passed away at her residence. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Dr. James Travis McCord Jr.
Memorial services for Dr. McCord will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Lebanon First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Martin Thielen officiating. Visitation will be preceding the service.
Dr. McCord, 67, of Lebanon and Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure. A retired optometrist, he was born
in Nashville and was affiliated with the Mt. Juliet West Wilson Lions Club, the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission and Lebanon First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Mt. Juliet Lodge No. 642 F&AM, Harvey Freeman No. 181 OES, and the Nashville Scottish Rite Bodies.
He was preceded in death by parents Dr. J. Travis and Janet McCord, grandparents Dr. Logan G. and Ruth McCord and Dr. Howard and Hilda Spain.
Survivors include: wife, Helen Mae McCord of Lebanon; sons T. Donovan McCord of Lebanon and Christopher R. (Jalene) McCord of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter, Marjory L. (Robert) Williams; brother, Dr. Wm. Logan (Wanda) McCord of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Russell and Rebecca McCord of Fayetteville, Ga., Uriah Donovan Jaco, John (Charissa) Williams, Bobby (Christie) Williams, Danny (Tammy) Williams, Jennifer (Richard) Pearson, Amber (Jason) Shrum and Margo Williams, all of Lebanon; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Lebanon First United Methodist Church or the Mt. Juliet West Wilson Lions Club.
