Judge James O. "J.O." Bond

Services for Judge Bond will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 2, from 4-8 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home and Saturday, Jan. 3, one hour prior to service at the church.

Judge Bond, 70, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008. Born Dec. 24, 1938, he was the youngest of eight children. Judge Bond attended school at Major School and Lebanon High School before attending Middle Tennessee State University. He received a degree in business administration and economics. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Lincoln, Neb., and Okinawa, Japan.

Judge Bond worked as a claims adjuster for State Farm, while attending night classes at the YMCA Nashville School of Law. After passing the Bar Exam, he began practicing law with the firm later known as Agee, Bond and Hunt. In 1990, Judge Bond was elected as the Criminal Court Judge for the 15th Judicial District. He implemented a groundbreaking program in drug court that allowed first time, non-violent drug offenders an opportunity to redeem themselves through an alternative sentencing program and a chance at rehabilitation.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Susie Anna Bond and siblings, Minnie Bond Hopkins, Mildred Bond and Floyd Bond.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Hughes Bond; sons, James O. Jr, Josh and Joe Bond and grandchildren, Jackson, Lauren, Sammy and Thatcher Bond.

Alene Fite

Services for Mrs. Fite will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Don McElroy and the Rev. Glenn Denton officiating. Interment will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fite, 96, of Lebanon died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Quality Care Nursing Home in Lebanon. She was a member of First Baptist Church and she and her late husband, Willie B. Fite, were the innkeepers at the Holiday Inn.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ada Frazier Burton; husband, Willie B. Fite; children, Kenneth Neal Fite and Rosa Elaine Hunt; sisters, Fannie Pugh and Alva Corley; and brother, Walter Burton.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law Charles and Bobbie Fite of Lebanon; grandchildren, Dan (Margaret) Fite of Nashville, Jeff (Tracy) Fite of Omaha, Neb. and Jean (Brad) Everett of Lebanon; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew Fite and Rebecca and Lila Everett.

Pallbearers will be Dan Fite, Jeff Fite, Brad Everett, Dan Midgett, Bobby Johnson and Tommy Nokes.

Jeffery Scott Hutcheson

Services for Mr. Hutcheson will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ed Goehner officiating. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hutcheson, 58, of Mt. Juliet, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was retired from American Airlines and a member of the TWU and VFW. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Hutcheson.

Survivors include: wife of 37 years, Pat Hutcheson; mother, Mrs. Jack Hutcheson; son, Christopher Ryan Hutcheson; daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Coulter; grandchildren, Gabe and Michael Coulter; sisters, Jerry Ann Lee and Gloria (Charles) Barrett; brothers, John Hutcheson and Jack Hutcheson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Roger Wayne "Sport" McQuiddy

Services for Mr. McQuiddy will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Saddler Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Rest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the the funeral home.

Mr. McQuiddy, 57, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at University Medical Center. He was retired from construction work.

Survivors include: devoted companion, Joanne McClenon; daughter, Roselyn (Johnny) Adams; step-daughters, Linda, Tonya and Lisa McClenon; step-sons, Melvin (Lucy) McClenon, Bobby (Sarah) McClenon, Timmy, Edward, Scotty, Billy and Robert McClenon, all of Lebanon; sister, Velma McQuiddy; brothers, Terry and Larry McQuiddy; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bates of Watertown; brothers-in-law, Jimmy and James Ray Allen; grandchildren, Imoni and Haley Adams; numerous step-grandchildren; devoted step-grandson, Mario McClenon; step-great-grandchild, Tarionna McClenon; devoted aunt, Hattie Mai Batey; devoted cousins, Linda Holt and Robert Bailey; devoted friends, Kenneth Young, Pee-Wee, Frankie Lee Rome, and Wayne Reynolds.

Charles Henry "Chuck" Thompson III

Services for Mr. Thompson will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at Cook's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Craig Goff and the Rev. Tom Gildemeister officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Sunday at the church.

Mr. Thompson, 75, of Mt. Juliet, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry Jr. and Jane Koch Thompson and brother, Philip Thompson.

Survivors include: wife, Sally Owens Thompson; daughters, Wendy (Mike) Crick of Mt. Juliet and Lori (Steve) Waters of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Douglas Thompson of Chattanooga; brother, Jeffrey (Myra) Thompson of St. Clairsville, Ohio and grandchildren, Bailey and Janie Crick and Chas and Julie Waters.

Joyce Ann Webber

Services for Mrs. Webber will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Bowen and Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, 3-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Webber, 53, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by parents, Robert Hudson and Ruth Davenport; and sister, Wilma Jean Hudson.

Survivors include: husband, Raymond Webber of Lebanon; son, Danny (Katherine) Hudson; step-daughter, Tammy Webber; brothers, Gerald Hudson and David Hudson; grandchildren, Chase and Dakota Hudson; and step-grandchildren, Jeremy and Kayla Bergdorf.

Pallbearers will be Terry Ashe, Larry Bowman, David Begarly, Chris King, Bob White, Don Hamblen and Gary Keith.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jessie Frazier Williams

Services for Mrs. Williams will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Hunter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 2, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 3, prior to service.

Mrs. Williams, 82, of Watertown, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. She was the office manager for 25 years for Dr. Thomas Weaver in Nashville. Mrs. Williams was a member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church and Fall Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Williams; parents, Rush and Murl Fitzpatrick Frazier and brothers, Lloyd, Woody, Sam and Roy Frazier.

Survivors include: son, Phil (Janet) Williams of Brentwood; grandson, Eliot Williams of Union University, Jackson; sisters, Dexter (Haskel) Marcum of Ashville, Ohio and Ruby Goble of Louisa, Ky.; brothers, Joe (Emma) Frazier of Casstown, Ohio and Gene (Abby) Frazier of Louisa, Ky., and the love of her life, Ken Murphy of Watertown.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Martha Louise Williams

Arrangments for Ms. Williams is incomplete at this time.

Ms. Williams, 79, of Statesville, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Cedars Health Care in Lebanon. She served 35 years as an educator in the Statesville and Watertown communities.
