Walter Hastings

Services for Mr. Hastings will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at J.C. Hellum Funeral Home with Elder Brewer Hall, Jr. serving as eulogist. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Garden. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hastings, 57, of Lebanon died Friday, July 20, at his residence. Survivors include: wife Rasheeda Mouzone Hastings; children LaShanda (Corey) Shepherd of Nashville, LaMonte (Meshawn) Hastings, Bonessa and Corey Hastings, all of Lebanon; brother Stanley Hastings; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; father-in-law John Jones, brother-in-law Antonio Mouzone and sister-in-law Paree Mouzone, all of Philadelphia; aunts Minnie Pearl and Josephine Adams; and numerous cousins and friends.

Cumberland Association ushers will be in uniform and perform a memorial before the funeral.

Karen Leigh “Sissy” Hicks

Services for Ms. Hicks will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 24 at Bond Memorial Chapel will Bro. August Ruff officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, July 23 at the funeral home

Ms. Hicks, 45, died Friday, July 20. She was a hairstylist in the Mt. Juliet area. Survivors include: father Bill (Reba) Hicks of Mt. Juliet; mother Beverly “Janie” (Bill) Brown of Mt. Juliet; sisters Becky Stewart and Mary Hicks; step-brothers Randy Phelps and Brett Phelps; grandmother Alton Mary Hicks; niece Shelley Stewart; nephew Graham Stewart; and special friend Marsha Pardue.

Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Lewis E. Knowles

Services for Mr. Knowles will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Bud Lambert officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday, July 23 and prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Knowles, 87, of Lebanon died Sunday, July 22, at Lebanon Health and Rehab Center. He was a farmer and a member of Adams Grove Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by parents Bedford Knowles and Minnie Jones Knowles; sons Billy C. and Wayne Knowles; and brother Carlos Knowles. Survivors include: wife of 66 years Kathryn Knowles; daughter-in-law Brenda Knowles of Lebanon; granddaughter Kimberly (Jim) Owen of Alexandria; great-grandson Ethan Owen; several nieces, nephews, friends and horse-riding buddies.

Pallbearers will be Sam Swindle, Junior Gibbs, Jimmy Martin, Bart Griffin, Brent Knowles, Clyde Poston, Smitty Griffin, George Evans, Watson Driver and Bill Hoagland.

Aristotle F. “Johnny” Rollins

Services for Mr. Rollins will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 24 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Jesse Green, Jr. officiating and Rick Waldrop delivering the eulogy and reading poetry written by Mr. Rollins. Interment with military honors will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Monday, July 23 at the funeral home.

Mr. Rollins, 81, died Saturday, July 21. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, serving in the British Sixth Airborne, British Second Army and the U.S. Army’s 17th, 82nd and 11th Airborne. He served in two campaigns and 18 battles. He worked in the Genealogy Department at the Mt. Juliet Library, wrote poetry and donated many books to the library. He was preceded in death by parents Fay Garlin and Laura Mary Christlip Rollins and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: wife Artie Rollins of Hermitage; children Robert Rollins, Easter Rollins Kott, Trina Rollins Waldrop, John Rollins, Michael Rollins and Lavonne Rollins; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, with two more expected in February.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Mt. Juliet Library or the American Lung Association.

Michael Ray Wade

Services for Mr. Wade will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Todd Elliot and Bro. Rosco Kornegay officiating. Interment will be in Granville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 23, 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Wade, 47, of Gaineboro died Saturday, July 21. He was preceded in death by father Verble Wade; mother Mildred Wade; and brother Fred Wade. Survivors include: daughter Chasity Wade; brothers Bobby Wade and Tony Wade; sisters Frances Poston Hoalcroft, Sheila Glover, Linda Bellamy and Polly Martin; 17 nieces and nephews and 22 great-nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Polly Wade Martin Cancer Fund.

Mildred Patriarca Wade

Services for Mrs. Wade will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Todd Elliot and Bro. Rosco Kornegay officiating. Interment will be in Granville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 23, 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wade, 84, of Gainesboro died Saturday, July 21, at her daughter’s residence in Lebanon. She was preceded in death by parents Vicenzo and Anna Kathryne Yingling Patriarca; husband Verble F. Wade; son Fred Lee Wade; daughter-in-law Linda L. Pippin Wade; son-in-law William Kenny Martin; and sisters Mary Nearhood, Rebecca Jean Zook and Electa Mace. Survivors include: sons Robert James Wade of Bloomington Springs, Tenn. and Anthony Gean Wade of Gainsboro; dughters Frances Carol Poston Hoalcraft of Cookeville, Sheila Ann Glover of Lebanon, Linda Sue Bellamy of Brentwood and Pauline Wade Martin of Baxter; brother Vincenzo “Pete” Patriarca, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; sisters Clarabell Frances Price and Lillian Pettegrau, both of Cleveland, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wade’s son, Michael, died shortly after her.
