Cheyenne LaShea McElvaney

Graveside services for infant McElvaney will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with family members officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday at Partlow Funeral Chapel.

Infat McElvaney died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Survivors include: parents, Canvas Brook McElvaney and Keith Lackey; brothers, Tyler McElvaney and Joshua and Justin Lackey; grandparents, Brenda Porter, Tommy McElvaney, Robert and Yvonne Sanders and James “Red” Lackey; and great-grandmother, Fay Sanders.

Evelyn Wylene Pafford

Services for Miss Pafford will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Dickson “Dickie” Gillespie, Wayne Foster and Robert Spickard officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Miss Pafford, 81, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, July 30, 2007. She was a member of Gladeville Baptist Church and Mt. Juliet/West Wilson Historical Society. She was a retired teacher and the daughter of the late William and Morris Morton Pafford.

There are no immediate survivors.

Pallbearers will be Doyle Brown, Duane Reid, Troy Smith, Paul Towns, Beverly Spickard, John Foster and Edd Bland. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Drennon, Barry Reid, Nealand Smith, Claude Jordan, Joe Will Spickard and the Mt. Juliet High School class of 1943.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Juliet/West Wilson Historical Society Awards Fund.

Danny Adam Shahan

Graveside services for infant Shahan will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Jones Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Lawson officiating.

Infant Shahan died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Summit Medical Center.

Survivors include: parents, Elizabeth and Matt Shahan of Alexandria; brother, Andrew Bryan Shahan; grandparents, Diana and Hershell Tate of Watertown and Danny and Jean Shahan of Statesville; and great-grandparents, William and Marie Nixon of Watertown and Easter Daily of Statesville.

Charles Herman Underwood

Graveside services for Mr. Underwood will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Miller officiating. Visitation will be noon until the service Wednesday at Wilson County Funeral Home.

Mr. Underwood, 66, of Washington D.C. and formerly of Lebanon, died July 19, 2007. He was a Peabody College graduate.

He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Virginia Adams Underwood and sister, Sue Bouton. Survivors include: sister, Linda (Charles) Underwood Cothern and several nieces and nephews, all of Lebanon.

John Julius Woodroof

Services for Mr. Woodroof will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Neal officiating. Interment will be in Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodroof, 79, of Hermitage, died Sunday, July 29, 2007. He was a member of Phillippi Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by wide, Katherine Pugh Woodroof, parents, Frank and Nannie Mayche Woodroof, five sisters and two brothers. Survivors include: children, John (Debbie) Woodroof of Lebanon and Kathy (Gary) Brown of Hermitage; brother, Sam (Polly) Woodroof of Nashville; grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris) Harman of Lebanon, Levi (Amber) Woodroof of Houston, Texas, and Ashley K. and Austin Brown, both of Hermitage; great-grandchildren, Wade and Sophie Harman.

Pallbearers will be Bim Bennett, Brian Bender, Gwen Jones, Buddy Coffey, Eric Smith and William Denney. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gladeville Independents softball team, Randy Wheeler, Bobby Perry, Roy Spain, Billy Gatlin, Tony Vantrease and Roy Major.
