Odell Hays Buterbaugh
Services for Mrs. Buterbaugh will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Revs. James Bond and Ricky Scott officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Buterbaugh, 91, of Liberty, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at her residence. She was a homemaker and member of Prosperity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Alton and Mary Lynam Hays; husband, Hub Sampson Buterbaugh; and brothers, Homer, Bright and T. Hays. Survivors include: daughter, Kathy Klasek of McMinnville; son, Dave (Vicky) Buterbaugh of Cottage Home; grandchildren, Sherry (Greg) Pennington and Andy Klasek, both of McMinnville and Holly Clayborn, Daniel (Jennifer) Buterbaugh and Joseph Buterbaugh, all of Cottage Home; great-grandchildren, Jake and Katy Pennington, William and Grant Buterbaugh and Shelby Clayborn; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Daniel and Joseph Buterbaugh, Andy Klasek, Greg Pennington, Phillip Hays and Ted Ray.
Winston "Trey" Dyer III
Services for Mr. Dyer will be noon Thursday, June 19 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Shad Carnes officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dyer, 19, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, June 16, 2008.
He was preceded in death by brother, Cody James Dyer; and grandparents, James Byron Graves and Winston Sr. and Delores Dyer. Survivors include: parents, Winston and Diana Dyer of Mt. Juliet; grandmother, Kathleen Holland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Lorrie Goddard Kidd
Services for Mrs. Kidd will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Owens officiating. Interment will be in Leeville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kidd, 76, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at University Medical Center. She was a mortgage processor for many years and was a homemaker. She was active in politics while living in Illinois and served as Planning Commissioner in Orland Hills, Ill. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Margie Agnes Trobaugh Goddard. Survivors include: husband of 51 years, Charles "Chuck" Kidd; daughter, Linda (Tim) Herrick of Plainfield, Ill.; and grandsons, Travis and Austin Herrick of Plainfield.
John C. "Jack" Lewis
Services for Mr. Lewis were held at noon Saturday, June 14 at Hermitage Funeral Home with David Hesson and Bro.Robert Evans officiating. Entombment was in Hermitage Mausoleum.
Mr. Lewis, 57, of Hermitage, died Thursday, June 12, 2008.
Survivors include: wife, Agnes Ruth Lewis; son, William Bryant (Amanda LeMay) Wright III; granddaughters, Caitlin Hale and Penelope Grace Wright; brother, Richard Lewis; sister, Sandra Lewis Farley; father, John R. Lewis; mother, Christine Bellar Lewis; and many other family members.
Pallbearers were Knox Biles, Dammon Walls, Bobby Graves, Bob Harris, Rick Neathery and Sam Shields.
Services for Mrs. Shaffer will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Bond Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Billy Friel and Jim Moran officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shaffer, 68, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, June 16, 2008. She was a member of First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet and was employed as a church secretary for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence Martin and Helen Shumway Hanson. Survivors include: husband, Dan Shaffer; son, Daniel H. Shaffer; step-son, Steven Daniel (Vickie) Shaffer; daughters, Julie M. (Eric) Barnes, Shari D. Shaffer, and Sara N. Shaffer; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brian, Brayden and Branden Barnes; and step-grandchildren, Jamie L. (Matt) Shaffer Dilley and Britney Shaffer.
