Joe S. Hatfield
Memorial services for Mr. Hatfield will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville with the Rev. David McDonald and the Rev. Paul Evans officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Mr. Hatfield, 84, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The co-founder and CEO of Fieldale Farms and a native of middle Tennessee, he attended the University of Tennessee from 1940 to 1941. He joined the Navy in 1941 in the V-12 Program, where he made ensign. He served in the Pacific as a ship navigator from 1942 to 1943, earning the grade lieutenant junior.
He graduated from Purdue University in 1947 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Bettye H. Stockton; brother, Sam H. Hatfield; and granddaughter, Katie Hatfield.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie McClain Hatfield; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Rosalyn Hatfield of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and David Goldberg of Gainesville; grandchildren, Alexandria Hatfield, Caroline Goldberg and Mariclaire Goldberg; sister, Jennie and Jim Lewis of Birmingham, Ala.; nieces, Sharon Stockton, Mary Hatfield Johnson and Elizabeth Santangelo; nephew, Jimmy Lewis; and a favorite cousin, Ellen Karnes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, 800 S. Enota Drive NE, Gainesville, Ga. 30501; or to your favorite charity.

Ann M. Moore
Services for Mrs. Moore will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Cooks United Methodist Church with Dr. Craig Goff officiating. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Moore, 73, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, June 23, 2008. She was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church. She enjoyed church and ballroom and square dancing.
She was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Lorena Fagla Marlin; and brother, Joe Marlin. Survivors include: husband, Jay Moore of Mt. Juliet; daughter, Lisa (Gary) Cook of Mt. Juliet; son, Dwight (Anita) Ragsdale of Springfield; step-son, Marcus Jay (JoAnn) Moore of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Andrew Frank and Jessica Nicole Cook, Jennifer (Cory) Crowley and Charles Jared (Claire) Ragsdale; step-grandchildren, John and Julianna Moore; and great-grandson, Lucas Garrett Crowley.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Cooks United Methodist or the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Reed, 39, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Summit Hospital.
