Services for Mr. Bain were Saturday, March 22 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Alton Colwell, Bobby Thompson and Michael Hale officiating. Interment was in DeKalb Cemetery.
Mr. Bain, 63, of Smithville, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his residence. He was a self employed carpenter.
He was preceded in death by parents, Honest and Jewell Bain and sons, Jeffery and Jerry Bain. Survivors include: wife, Nancy Bain of Smithville; children, Shawn "Wiesel" Bain, Shelia Ann Beckham and Josh Bain, all of Smithville; sisters, Betty (Beecher) Taylor, Christine (Alton) Colwell of Smithville and Joyce Prater of Lebanon; brothers, J.B. (Cathy), E.J., R.J. (Judy), and A.J. (Carol) Bain, all of Smithville; grandchildren, Devon, Ashley, Andy and Aniece Bain, Travis Beckham and Casey Estes; great-grandchild, Natalya McCarty; step-children, Kim (Waymon) Walker of Sparta and Mark (Bobbie) Davis of Carthage; step-grandchildren, Amber, Megan, and Chelsie Linder, Zach Walker, Matthew Davis, and Amber Gross; and sister-in-law, Patsy Rutherford.
Pallbearers were James Taylor, Dusty and Josh Bain, Norman and Wayne Linder, and Todd, Ronnie and Barry Young. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Linder, Gary Caplinger, Dwight and Jacob Moore, Ryan Hughes, David Bain and Tavis Martin.
Kenneth Eugene Collins
Memorial services for Mr. Collins will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Unity Church in Lebanon with Bro. Lewis Harp officiating. Visitation will be noon until the service at the church.
Mr. Collins, 65, of Lebanon, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Kindred Hospital. He was of the Protestant faith and was employed by Steve and Sons.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Henry and Laura Elizabeth Earwood Collins and granddaughter, Estelle Anna Marie Young. Survivors include: companion, Doris Collins of Lebanon; son Kenneth (Sewana) Collins Jr. of Greenbriar; stepson, William Lee Garner of Lebanon; daughter, LaTynia (Wallace E.) Young of Nashville; brother, Bobby Collins of Portland; sisters, Mildred (Alan) Foust of Smyrna, Francis (Jack) Carter of Georgia and Evelyn Conn of Ohio; stepsister, Betty (Richard) Knowles of Murfreesboro; and grandchildren, Jordan Adams, Ashley Patterson, and James and Joshua Collins.
