Kenneth K. Custer
Services for Mr. Custer will be 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Custer, 85, of Lebanon, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Cedars Health Care Center. He was a WWII Air Force veteran, member of Berea Church of Christ and a security guard at McFarland Hospital.
He was preceded in death by parents, Gail Willard and Nettie Burchett Custer; wife, Alice North Custer; four brothers; great-grandson, Brandon Parks; and daughter-in-law, Joyce White North. Survivors include: children, Sue (Ben) Corning, Gail Parks and Robert North; sister, Sylvia Fleshman; six nieces; two nephews; grandchildren, David, Deborah and Deann Parks, Ginny (Joey) Harris, Teresa and Morris Dodd, Dawn (David) Buck, Brianna (Bob) Jackson and Megan (Travis) Wheeler; and great-grandchildren, Chris Dodd, Chelsea and Kyle Harris and Ashley, Amber, Ben and Sam Buck.
Jewel Davis Dodson
Services for Mrs. Dodson will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 at First Baptist Church in Lebanon with the Revs. Pierce Dodson and Don McElroy officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home after noon Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Dodson, 91, of Lebanon, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at Lebanon Health and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Norman Tarver and Lela Jewel Davis. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband of 58 years, Pierce W. Dodson; sister, Betty Frances Davis; and brother, Ramon Davis. Survivors include: three children, Pierce (Barbara) and Bill (Carol) Dodson, of Lebanon and Patsy Dodson Plumlee of Nashville; and six grandchildren, J. Martin and Wade Plumlee, and Chris, Laura, Johnathan and Rachel Dodson.
Pallbearers will be Martin and Wade Plumlee, Chris and Johnathan Dodson, Buster Jennings and Bobby Johnson.
The family requests memorials be made to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention (Kosovo).
William Buchanan Walden
Services for Mr. Walden will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Juliet Funeral Home and noon until the service Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Walden, 66, of Mt. Juliet, died Sunday, April 8, 2007. He was a member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. He graduated from David Lipscomb with a major in accounting and a minor in music. He worked as an insurance agent for Independeent Life.
He was preceded in death by father, Odell Walden; and wife of 40 years, Delores Lynn Tucker Walden. Survivors include: son, Preston (Debbie) Walden of Mt. Juliet; daughters, Lydia (Marvin) Nixon of Mt. Juliet and Marla (Stephen) Beard of Bon Aqua; mother, Mildred Walden; brothers, Wayne, Robert (Marietta) and Raymond (Sherry) Walden; sister, Ramona (Virgil) Flaherty of Smyrna; and grandchildren, Angel and Heather Nixon, Donovan Walden and Jerrick and Jacob Beard.
Pallbearers will be Robert and Raymond Walden, Virgil Flaherty, Toby Balda, Ray Justice and Don McAllister. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Flaherty, Randy, Wayne, Donovan and Ray Walden, John and Jason Tucker and Jerrick and Jacob Beard.
