Doris Bryze Davenport Beesley

Graveside services for Mrs. Beesley will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 8 at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beesley, 85, of Lebanon, died Friday, April 6, 2007. She was a graduate of Cumberland University and a member of the Cumberland Women's Club. She taught in the Wilson County and Lebanon Special School Districts for 31 years, including 27 at McClain Christian School. She was a member of Lebanon Music Club and served as president several terms. She was a founding member of the XI chapter Alpha Delta Kappa teaching sorority. She was a Friend of the Library and a member of Faith Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church in Nashville and former member of First Baptist in Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by husband, Arthur Acklin Beesley; parents, James Whitlock and Jessie Fisher Davenport. Survivors include: daughters, Martha (Tom) Boyd and Alice (Jeff) Gossage of Lebanon; grandchildren, Kathryn and Rachel Boyd and Daniel Gossage; and longtime friend and caregiver Henrietta Cason.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Gossage, Lane Martin, Lillard Barrett, Chris and Brooks Crowell, Winston Davenport and John Greer. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Martin, Dr. Charles Lea, Tommy Knowles, Jim Lancaster and Bobby Bryant.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Library.

Robert Earl Cantrell

Services for Mr. Cantrell have not been scheduled at this time.
Mr. Cantrell, 70, of Lebanon, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired UPS supervisor of 25 years.

He was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Pauline McKendry Cantrell. Survivors include: wife, Glenda Young Cantrell; six daughters, Kay Cantrell, Kim (Brent) Vance, Penny (Phillip) Burns, April (Wayne) Bures, Brandie (Jeremy) Kitrell and Taunya (Brian) Hacker; and five grandchildren, Chasity, Johnathan, Kirkland, Maddy and Kohen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eveyln Francis Curtis

Services for Mrs. Curtis will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro Ronnie Smith and Bro. Tommy Curtis officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Curtis, 84, of Alexandria, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at Summit Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Willie Malone Kitchings; her husband of 66 years, Paul Curtis; and a brother, Charles B. Kitchings.

Survivors include: two daughters, Faye (William) Wooldridge of Lebanon and Key Hearn of Mt. Juliet; five grandchildren, Rick (Christy) Robinson of Murfreesboro, Mitch Robinson of Lebanon, Angie (Alan) Elkins of Mt. Juliet, Anita (Chip) Jackson of Mt. Juliet and Kim (Scott) Lattimore of Mt. Juliet; six great-greanchildren; a niece, Lyna Rorie; and a brother-in-law the Rev. Tommy (Virginia) Curtis of Smithville.

Pallbearers will be Rick Robinson, Mitch Robinson, Chip Jackson, Alan Elkins, Scott Lattimore and Todd Austin.
