Jerry M. McCrary
Services for Mr. McCrary will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 4 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Randy Ward officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3.
Mr. McCrary, 73, of Lebanon died Tuesday, May 1 at his home. He was known as "Pa" or "Unc." He was born and raised in Wilson County. After a two-year enlistment in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, he worked for Ben Arnette and then for Murfreesboro Water and Sewer, where he retired in 1999 after 36 years.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Dollie McCrary; brother, John W. McCrary; and sisters Thelma Jernigan and Mary E. Wright. Survivors include: wife, Ruby McCrary; daughter Chelsea J. Sanders; nephews Randy (Susan) Sanders and Sandy (Melanie Howard) Sanders; brother, Frank (Ruthann) McCrary; sisters, Alice Newman, Elizabeth McCrary, Voline Perry and Mildred (Roy) Gannon; special nieces and nephew Annette (Lee) Shelton and Eddie and Judy McCrary; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Employees of Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department, Ben Arnette and Euel Sanders will serve as honorary pallbears.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Evelyn "Robin" Hopper
Services for Mrs. Hopper will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at Sellars Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hopper, 72, of Lebanon, died Sunday, April 29, 2007. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She had a great sense of humor and loved ice cream. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, Scrabble and music.
She was preceded in death by mother, Helen Moody Bartlett and son, Steven Hopper. Survivors include: children, Diana Birchett and Alan (Melinda Kay) Hopper; grandchildren, John Cardwell, Stephanie Birchett, Alan Jr., Henry "Hank" and Evan Hopper; and pets, W.T., Cleo and Bridget.
In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association.
Virgie Ann Medkiff Shelton
Services for Mrs. Shelton will be noon Saturday, May 5 at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Owens officiating. Interment will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shelton, 82, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at University Medical Center. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing her vegetables with friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by parents, Jasper Claude and Elizabeth Foster Medkiff; sister, Faye Atkinson; and brothers, Ewell and Jimmy Medkiff. Survivors include: husband, Aubrey Shelton; two sons, Larry (Cindy) Jarnigan of Lebanon and Don Jarnigan of Montana; three sisters, Virginia Norman, Joan McKee and Lota Young, all of Columbia; brother, Evans (Olga) Medkiff of Miami, Fla.; grandsons, Brandon and Grant Jarnigan; several nieces and nephews; and devted caretaker, Gloria Lane of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Services for Mr. Smith were incomplete at press time.
Mr. Smith, 77, of Lebanon, died May 3, 2007, at University Medical Center.
Wilson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
