Nannie Pearl Davis
Services for Mrs. Davis will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel in Murfreesboro with the Revs. Willard Runnells and Nathan Hale officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis, 86, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 at NHC National Health Care. She was a Wilson County native. She served many churches with her husband, the Rev. James A. Davis. She was a member of Woodbury Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Elizie H. and Ruth C. Pulley Nokes; brothers, Lonnie, Clyde and Thomas Cleveland Nokes; and sister, Katherine Eddins. Survivors include: her husband; sons, Phillip (Mary) Davis of Antioch, Terry (Lisa) Davis of Clarksville, Wayne (Mary) Davis and Tim (Linda) Davis both of Murfreesboro; sister, Bessie Thompson of Lebanon; grandchildren, Kimberly Minter, Dennis and Kathy Davis, Melissa Sandifer, Andy and Jason Davis, Kelly Sievers, and Robert, Aaron, Sarah and Michelle Davis; and six great-grandchildren.
Marci Denise Messer
Services for Mrs. Messer will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Fuston officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday and prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Messer, 37, of Watertown, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 at her residence. She attended Mt. Juliet High School.
Survivors include: husband, Bobby Lee Messer of Watertown; sons, Justin Dodson and Tyler Messer, both of Watertown; parents, David and Faye Dodson of Mt. Juliet; brother, Devin (Kelli) Dodson of Bell Buckle; sister, Amy (Scott) Hutchinson of Leavenworth, Kan.; and parents-in-law, John and Linda Messer of Rockholds, Ky.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 2221 Murphy Ave., Nashville or Poplar Hill Cemetery c/o Glenn Beard, 5940 Poplar Hill Rd., Watertown.
Albert Wilson Mitchell
Services for Mr. Mitchell will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Hermitage Funeral Home with the Revs. Billie Friel and David Fallin officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mitchell, 95, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007. He was a long time member and deacon emeritus of First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet, an active members of the Elder Blooms, and Joppa Lodge No. 441. He was employed with Dupont for over 37 years.
He was preceded in death by wife, Allie Frances Corley Mitchell, mother of his children; wife, Ruby Gilliam Mitchell; wife, Annis Regan Mitchell; sisters, Bertha Anderson, Pansy Wright, Cytha Peacock and Margaret Lego; brothers, Jon Crawford and Victor Mitchell; and daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Colson Mitchell. Survivors include: children, Betty Ann Drayer, Stephen Wilson (Patricia), Albert Thomas and Charles Stanley (Joanna) Mitchell; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Delores Gilliam (Neal) Butler; sister, Clementine Longacre; brothers, Arthur and Willard Mitchell; and caregiver, Patrick O
