Dorothy McDaniel Gilbert

Services for Mrs. Gilbert will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Don McElroy officiating. Visiation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gilbert, 78, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at Quality Care Nursing Home. She was born in Silver City, Miss. She was a member of Jonestown Baptist Church in Jonestown, Miss. and a member of the Ruth Sunday School class at First Baptist Church in Lebanon. She was a bank teller for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by parents, Clint and Mamie Ratliff McDaniel; husband, James Gilbert; and sisters, Joyce Black and Hazel Webb. Survivors include: daughter, Carol Ann (Cary) Smith of Lebanon; grandchildren, Drew and Tara Elizabeth Smith; and brother, L. Ray McDaniel of Kilmichael, Miss.
