Evan Michael Bennett
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Bennett will be held Saturday, Sept. 5 at the home of his parents. A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. at the home of his parents.
Mr. Bennett, 23, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a 2005 graduate of Wilson Central High School.
He was preceded in death by sister, Casey Bennett; maternal grandparents, Roy C. and Mary K. Cavitt; and paternal grandfather, Bobby D. Bennett.
Survivors include: parents, Bobby Wayne Bennett and Karen Cavitt; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Bennett; aunts and uncles, Jo Ann and Danny Parsons, Patricia Cavitt and Terri Vibbert, Michael (Sandra) Cavitt, Christy (Bill) Rodgers, Vicki and Ricky Bennett and Scott Dean; and numerous cousins.
The family requests that memorials be made in Evan's memory to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, PMB 407727, 2301 Vanderbilt Place, Nashville, 37240. Partlow Funeral Chapel in charge of local arrangements.
Bobby Roy Kimbel
Services for Mr. Kimbel will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Fessler officiating. Visitation will be noon until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kimbel, 69, of Mt. Juliet, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009. He was a US Air Force veteran and son of the late Richard B. and Lois Hazel Larue Kimbel.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Ellen Stafford Kimbel of Mt. Juliet; daughters, Diana (David) Mears of Bellvue, Pam Ausbrooks of Antioch and Kristal Hedrick of Mt. Juliet; brothers, David (Sally) Kimble of Lebanon and Charles (Carolyn) Kimble of LaVergne; grandchildren, Mark and Lindsey Ausbrooks, Seth and Dalton Hedrick and Rachel Mears; and great-grandchild, Joshua Ausbrooks.
Bond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Suanne Neal Pirtle
Services for Mrs. Pirtle will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pirtle, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009. She attended Donelson and David Lipscomb High Schools and received her elementary education degree from David Liscomb College. She taught at Whitsett and McGavock Elementaries and taught Bible class at Lebanon Road Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by husband, William Pirtle Jr.; parents, Jim and Elsie Neal; and sister, Jane Neal Mullins.
Survivors include: sons, Jim (Teresa) and Berry (Merri) Pirtle; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be retired principals, teachers and staff of McGavock Elementary.
Dr. Martin Anthony "Dr. Tony" Woodall
Services for Dr. Woodall will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Bethel Baptist Church, Yukon, Okla. Interment will be in Yukon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany, Okla.
Dr. Woodall, 74, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009. Born in Lebanon on his parent's anniversary, Dr. Woodall was a graduated from Lebanon High School. He attended Martin Jr. College and Peabody College. Dr. Woodall received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1960. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1981, retiring as a Captain. Dr. Woodall did his pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric cardiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, while serving in the Navy. After retirement, he moved to OKC and began a pediatric practice at the Central Oklahoma Medical Group and Integris Pro Health Physicians Group. Dr. Woodall retired from his practice in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Martin Woodall and John William Woodall and grandmother, Moncie "Mammy" Martin.
Survivors include: wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Clark Woodall; daughter, Amy (Andy) Zaniewski of New Port Richey, Fla.; son, Tony (Julie) Woodall Jr. of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Michelle Estes, Michal Bahr and Blake and Bryce Woodall; great-grandson, Tripp Estes; step-son, Christopher Clark of Tampa, Fla.; step-daughter, Jennifer Eid of Orlando, Fla.; step-grandchildren, Steven, Sophia and James Eid of Plano, Texas; siblings, John Lee (Faye) Woodall of Lebanon, Norma Fosson of Salem, Ore., and Sabra (Bobby) Todd of Lebanon; aunt, Claudia Burton of Old Hickory, Tenn.; friend, Danny (Marguerite) Evins of Franklin, Tenn., and many nieces and nephews.
