Ann Marie Winters Acton

Services for Mrs. Acton will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Acton, 41, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007.

Survivors include: husband, John Acton; daughter, Brittney Goode; son, Alex Goode; father, Donald Winters; and sister, Ali Winters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Ann Acton Fund c/o Jerusalem Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7192 Mona Rd., Murfreesboro, 37129.

Evelyn Graves Irwin

Services for Mrs. Irwin will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Revs. Barry Ellis and Donald Owens officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Irwin, 91, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Robert Ernest and Martha Margaret Wilson Graves. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation where she was a draftsmen drawing state maps. She was a charter member of the Twin States Iris Society.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Lee Ander Irwin; step-children, Louise Thompson and Rachel Graves; grandson, Randy Richers; brothers, Robert, Frank and Jack Graves; and sister, Ethel Rawls. Survivors include: children, Melcin D. (Cecille) Irwin of Gilbertsville, Ky. and Martha Jean (Ronnie) Richer of Sun City, Fla.; step-children, Doug (Jean) Irwin of Orlando, Fla. and Doris (Frank) Thompson of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Roy (Dee) Graves of Hendersonville; grandsons, Troy (Donna) Irwin of Nashville, James (Holli) Finney of Whitehouse and Mark Richer of Georgia; granddaughters, Susan and Sherry Richer of Springfield; and great-grandchildren, Felecia, Elizabeth and Hunter Chase Irwin.

Bradley Joe “B.J.” Simmons

Services for Mr. Simmons will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Poly Rouse officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday.

Mr. Simmons, 24, of Mt. Juliet, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.
Survivors include: father, Barry Simmons; mother, Tina Goodrow; step-father, Robert Goodrow; step-mother, Lisa Simmons; brother, Blake Simmons; great-grandmother, Nanna; grandparents, Terry Simmons and Dorris and Hurchel Wiginton; and aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Homer Doak “H.D.” Quarles Jr.

Services for Mr. Quarles will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Fall Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Carl Price and Joe McConnell officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until the service Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Quarles, 80, of Norene, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital. He was the son of the late Homer Sr. and May Bond Quarles. He was a Korean War veteran and lifeling farmer. He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife of 59 years, Anna Corene Lasater Quarles; son, David Wilson Quarles; brother, Mack Quarles; and sisters, Frances Smith and Virginia Patterson. Survivors include: children, Homer S. (Rena) Quarles of Whitehouse, Ina May (Don) Wrye of Lebanon and Charles W. (Kathy) Quarles of Watertown; sister, Ruth Jordan of Lascassas; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brent Knowles, Joe Hight, Russell Wrye, Jeff Phillips, Steve Callis, Mike Edwards, Alton Stoner and Brian and Bobby Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Keven, Steven, Andrew and Elizabeth Quarles, Misty Dangerfield, Crystal Howell and Amber and Shelby Quarles.

The family requests memorials be made to Fairview Cemetery.

Grovene Goad Watson

Graveside services for Mrs. Watson will e 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Watson, 72, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007. She was born in Lebanon to the late Grover and Lucile Goad. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of the Church of Christ, last attending Jacksonville Beach Church of Christ.

Survivors include: husband of 53 years, Kenneth Watson; son Kenneth (Kathline) Watson Jr.; daughters, Kendra (Gary) Voet and Karen (David) Jolly; and grandchildren, Justin and Kirstin Voet, Celeste, Max and Devon Watson and Rollins, Rachel and Levi Jolly.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 4502 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216, Nashville, 37215.
