Erma Lannom Baird
Services for Mrs. Baird will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. C. Martin Thielen and the Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon.
Mrs. Baird, 88, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008. She was an active participant in community and church affairs at First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Lacoterie Club and the Lebanon Gold and Country Club's Women Association. She was instrumental in bringing Stonecroft Ministries and Friendship Bible Coffees to Lebanon. She was president of the Methodist Women's Society three times. For nine years she was an officer at the conference level.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Knight and Ella Lance Lannom and siblings, Leo Knight Lannom, Billy Owen Lannom, James Howard Lannom and Callie (Bill) Hobbs.
Survivors include: her husband of 68 years, Charles H. Baird Sr.; children, Sharry (Bill) Hager of Lebanon, and Charles H. (Sue) Baird Jr. of Jacksonville, NC.; brothers, Doyle (Betty) Lannom of Sarasota, Fla., Harold R. (Patricia) Lannom of Lebanon and Miami Springs, Fla., Carlos Lannom and Bob (Anna Gayle) Lannom of Lebanon; grandchildren, Allyson (Eric) Collinsworth, Sam (Heather) Baird, Charles (Farrah) Baird, Maggie Baird and Will Hager; great-grandchildren, Sean, Meredith and Annabelle Baird and Hayley and Ella Collinsworth.
Richard Lee Failor
Services for Mr. Failor will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Don McElroy officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from noon until services Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Failor, 86, of Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Edith Moon Failor and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Sharon Failor of Lebanon; daughters, Linda (Jeff) Holder and Joyce (Jody) Jenkins; and grandchildren, Dawna (Joe) Madison, Brittany Madison, Rainey Madison, Joey Madison, Keagon Madison and Peyton Madison.
Geneva Winfree Hale
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20 at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Wayne Miller officiating. Interment will be in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hale, 81, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was employed with United Methodist Publishing and Ambrose Printing Company and was a member of Maple Hill Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Lona Winfree. Survivors include: husband of 54 years, Charles Hale; son, Lee (Sandi) Squires Jr. of Sevierville; daughters, Shirley (Mike) Ruis of Lebanon and Brenda (Darrell) Johnson of Gordonsville; brother, Donnie (Lynn) Winfree; sister, Ethelene (Jack) Gwaltney of Antioch; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Sheila Diane Smith
Services for Mrs. Smith will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20 at Sellars Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Haskin, Bro. Jason Haskin, and Bro. Danny Sellars officiating.
Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until the service Sunday.
Mrs. Smith, 54, of Lebanon was born Sept. 3, 1953 in Detroit, Mich. She went to be with the Lord, Jan. 16, 2008. Mrs. Smith was a lifetime member of Temple Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, pianist and organist. She was employed at Texas boot for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. William F. Johnson; brother, Darrell Johnson; sister, Sharon Hawkes; and granddaughter, Kayla Dawn Smith. Survivors include; husband of 34 years, Don Smith; daughter, Sandra Diane Smith; son, Don (Sarah) Smith; and grandchildren, Ryen, Courtney, and Katie Smith all of Lebanon; mother, Dorace Downs Johnson; sisters, Susan (Johnny) Yount of Cherry Valley and Belinda (David) Cox of Alexandria; brother, Tim (Dora) Johnson of Norene, two aunts and one uncle and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother-in-law, Michael Hawkes; Bobby (Donna) Hawkes; and sisters-in-law, Brenda (Mike) Grandstaff, Debbie (Richard) Pratt, all of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Allen Wade Cox, Billy Harmon, Philip Allen, Adam Miller, Alan Huffman, Terry Wharton, Johnny Gulley, and Howard Sullins.
Charles Ayden Tuley
Private Memorial Services for infant Tuley will be held at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Saturday, Jan. 19.
Infant Tuley, of Mt. Juliet, died Sunday morning at a Nashville hospital.
Survivors include: parents, Sean and Jolene Tuley; his twin sister, Clara; sisters, Kyra and Morgan; grandparents, Bill and Sandy McConkey, Gene and Janice Koeune, and Dennis and Linda Harwood; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
