Thomas J. Adams
Services for Mr. Adams will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Jennings Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Adams, 78, of Mt. Juliet died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Jo Adams; parents Thomas and Loni Frances Adams; two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include: children Dennis (Carlene) Adams of Hermitage, Glenda (Brodie) Anderson of Old Hickory, Gayle Wright of Statesville and Louann (Dickey) Sanders of Smithville; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lorena Watson of Tower Hill, Ill.
Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Erma Lannom Baird
Services for Mrs. Baird will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. C. Martin Thielen and the Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon.
Mrs. Baird, 88, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008. She was an active participant in community and church affairs at First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Lacoterie Club and the Lebanon Golf and Country Club's Women Association. She was instrumental in bringing Stonecroft Ministries and Friendship Bible Coffees to Lebanon. She was president of the Methodist Women's Society three times. For nine years she was an officer at the conference level.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Knight and Ella Lance Lannom and siblings, Leo Knight Lannom, Billy Owen Lannom, James Howard Lannom and Callie (Bill) Hobbs.
Survivors include: her husband of 68 years, Charles H. Baird Sr.; children, Sharry (Bill) Hager of Lebanon, and Charles H. (Sue) Baird Jr. of Jacksonville, NC.; brothers, Doyle (Betty) Lannom of Sarasota, Fla., Harold R. (Patricia) Lannom of Lebanon and Miami Springs, Fla., Carlos Lannom and Bob (Anna Gayle) Lannom of Lebanon; grandchildren, Allyson (Eric) Collinsworth, Sam (Heather) Baird, Charles (Farrah) Baird, Maggie Baird and Will Hager; great-grandchildren, Sean, Meredith and Annabelle Baird and Hayley and Ella Collinsworth.
Richard Lee Failor
Services for Mr. Failor will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Don McElroy officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Failor, 86, of Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Edith Moon Failor and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Sharon Failor of Lebanon; daughters, Edee (Eddie) Zarafe, Linda (Jeff) Holder, Joyce (Jody) Jenkins; and grandchildren, Dawna (Joe) Madison, Brittany Madison, Rainey Madison, Joey Madison, Keagon Madison and Peyton Madison.
Lorraine Huddleston Williamson Jenkins
Services for Mrs. Jenkins will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. David West officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins, 77, of Murfreesboro died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by parents James Wilburn and Ida Johnson Huddleston; and husbands Charles Herman Williamson and Garland Jenkins.
Survivors include: son and future daughter-in-law Mike Williamson and Chris Clark of Murfreesboro; daughters Suzanne (Ernie) Brown of Lascassas, Nancy (Mike) Miller of Murfreesboro; stepdaughters Debbie (Jerry) Wright, Patty (Danny) Phillips, Jan (Jim) Martin, all of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Williamson, Judson Smith, Charlie Miller, Mike Miller, Ernie Brown, James Huddleston and Ed Butler.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Clair Senior Citizens Center.
Harry Ward Johnsey
Graveside services for Mr. Johnson will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Wilson County Memorial Gardens with Garrett Scott and Harold Ragland officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Partlow Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnsey, 66, of Watertown died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 at University Medical Center. He was preceded in death by parents Harry and Stella Johnsey.
Survivors include: wife Blondell Johnsey; son Harry "Buddy" W. (Angenette) Johnsey II of Lebanon; daughters Susan Napier of Portland and Sheila (Mark) Scull of Hendersonville; stepsons Kevin and Greg (Dianna) Tarpley; stepdaughter Bridgette Perry; sister Dianne (Earl) Deal of Mt. Juliet; half brothers Roy (Joanna) and Bud (Peggy) Johnsey; stepsisters Sara Sartan andGail Hurley; half sister Nelta Pope; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Bobby Joe Metcalf
Services for Mr. Metcalf will be 2 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Vistiation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Metcalf, 59, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008. A Vietnam veteran, he played football at Lebanon High School and Austin Peay State University. He was retired from TRW. He was preceded in death by parents J.W. and Louise Metcalf.
Survivors include: sons Brian (Holly Cox) Metcalf and Greg (Angie) Metcalf; grandchildren Kayla Metcalf, Tyler Metcalf, Payton Cox and Skylar Metcalf; and brother Jerry "Mack" (Paulette) Metcalf.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Wilson County Sheriff's Department..
Idea Mai VanLeer
Services for Mrs. VanLeer will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 at J.C. Hellum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Andray Clemons serving as eulogist. Interment will be in Beard Cemetery in Watertown. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Ms. VanLeer, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at Quality Care Nursing Home.
Survivors include: sisters Nola (Zean) Lowe of Chicago, Margaret Richardson of Murfreesboro and Betty Douglas of Watertown; brother Scott Bass of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and other relatives and friends.
