Elvis Donal Dorris

Services for the Rev. Dorris will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Tenn. with the Rev. Frank Evans officiating. Interment will be in Robertson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, Tenn. and non until services Saturday at the church.

Mr. Dorris, 79, died Monday, March 3, 2008. He was a minister and served as pastor to several congregations in Middle Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis and Pauline Dorris of Nashville and a sister, Nancy Dorris Hesson.

Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Ellen Wester Dorris; two daughters, Janic Dorris Lee and Brenda Dorris Brown; and four grandchildren, Adrienne, Logan Dorris, Eleanor and Olivia.

Joseph Earl McPeak

Mr. McPeak, 75, of Athens, Ala., died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete.

Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens is in charge of arrangements.

Jeannette Smith Pruett

Services for Mrs. Pruett will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Temple Baptist Church in Old Hickory. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 10 at Middle Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet.

Mrs. Pruett, 84, of Lebanon, died Thursday, March 6, 2008.

She was preceded in death by parents, Sim and Gladys Spratlin Smith; husband, A.O. Pruett; brothers, Marcus and Elliot (Pat) Smith; and sisters, Elaine Osteen and Cathrine (John) Miller. Survivors include: daughter, Joan Pruett Woodham of Lebanon; granddaughters, Shirl Woodham (Albert) Morris of Goergia and Lynn Woodham Russell of Goergia; great-grandchildren, Zac Wright, Wade Noe, Taylor and Andrew Morrison and Chad and Nikki Morris; brother-in-law, Allen Osteen and sister-in-law, Ellon Smith.

Pallbearers will be members of Temple Baptist Church.

Herman Cordell Reed

Services for Mr. Reed will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at Wilson County Funeral Home with Pastor David Freeman and Bro. Don McElroy officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Reed, 83, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was a Lebanon High School graduate, Army Air Force veteran of World War II, member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Echoes singing group.

He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Rebecca Reed. Survivors include: wife of 64 years, Nina Reed and sister, Dorothy R. (Edward) Hughes, both of Lebanon.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Echoes.
