Altie Mae Phillips Durham

Mrs. Durham’s remains rest at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home at 241 West Main St. in Lebanon, where services are Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Hunn and the Rev. Donald Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday after 9 a.m.

Mrs. Durham, age 92, went to her heavenly home Aug. 24, 2013. Born in Wilson County, Oct. 6, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Cornelious and and Lulu Mae Adkins Phillips. She was a 1939 graduate of Watertown High School and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  She retired from Precision Rubber.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Johnnie Edkar Durham, who died Sept. 26, 2002.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Wayne) Foster; three grandchildren,  Laurie (Ian) Kincaid, John (Casey) Foster, Chuck Foster; four great-grandchildren,  Drew and Emily Kincaid, Ashley and Karli Foster; several nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ruth Sunday School Class and Babbs Parker. Active pallbearers will be John and Chuck Foster, Ian and Drew Kincaid, Randall Clemons, Dwight Phillips and Joe Durham. 

Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements,
