David Edward Simpson

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. from the Maple Hill Church of Christ with Bro. Tim Parrish officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday 1-6 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Monday after 9 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Simpson, 62, of Lebanon, died Oct. 18, 2013 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.  Born in Louisville, Ky., he was the son of the late Carl Helm and Frances Harper Simpson. He was a sales representative for Kimbro Oil Company. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Maple Hill Church of Christ where he served as an Elder.
He is survived by wife of 42 years, Vicky Sanders Simpson; children, Stuart (Melissa) Simpson, Katie Jo (Christopher) Komito; grandchildren, Lindsey and Max Simpson; sister, Elizabeth Schmitt.
Honorary pallbearers were Elders of Maple Hill, Bob Lawson and Tim Heath.  Active pallbearers were Dwayne Wright, Barry Forkum, Kevin Walton, Jeff Hallums, Mike Wamble, Brad Cluck and Rob Tignor.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Maple Hill Church of Christ, 103 Maple Hill Rd., Lebanon, 37087.
