Claude Allen Partlow Sr.

Funeral services and a celebration of the life of Mr. Claude Allen Partlow Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon with Rev. Ray Clubb and Rev. David Fallin officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 and beginning at 9:30 a.m. preceding the service on Saturday.
Mr. Partlow, 80, passed away on Nov. 13 in Lebanon, Tenn. He was an active member of the Mt. Juliet First Baptist Church. He was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School. He graduated college from Tennessee Technological University in 1955 with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Partlow served our nation as a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. Throughout his years in the engineering field, he worked for both the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Tennessee Valley Authority as an electrical and nuclear engineer. He was active in his church as the Church Training/Education Director, choir member, Church Treasurer and Deacon for many years. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in Madison, Ala., where he served as the Church Treasurer until moving to Tennessee to be closer to his family.
Mr. Partlow was always an active member of his community as well, as a member of The Gideons International and The Lion's Club. He also loved playing his baritone in the church orchestra and community band. His other favorite pastimes were fishing, golfing, photography and telling jokes.
Mr. Partlow is the son of the late Bluford and Edna Partlow,  and is also preceded in death by his brother, James.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Myra Rose (Stonecipher) Partlow;  three children, Lynn (Garry) Williams, Gail (Lewis) Moore and Allen (Jackie) Partlow; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Luke) Brewington, Andrew (Heather) Stephens, Rachel Stephens, Shaun Williams and Cody Partlow; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, Howard (Nancy) Partlow
and Jerry (Judy) Partlow; sister-in-law, Annette (Joe) Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, his breakfast buddies, and his friends from Rutland Place. Special thanks goes to the staff of Gentiva Hospice, Quality Care Rehab and Nursing Home and Summit Hospital Floor 7 Staff.
