The family of Mr. Pruitte will be receiving friends at the Church of God Worship and Ministry Center at 1007 Hartsville Pike in Lebanon on Friday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service. The funeral service, conducted by Brother Gordon Lee and assisted by Brother Danny Sellars, will be Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial immediately following the service.
Jerry Pruitte, retired as captain after 31 years at the Lebanon Police Department, passed away Dec. 25, 2013 at age 58.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marcia Herron Pruitte; children, Tracy (Michael) Underwood, Jerimy (Tiffany) Pruitte, and Jason (Brooke) Pruitte; brother, Vincent Pruitte; sister-in-law, Missy (Adam) Spears; brother-in-law, Danny (Elaine) Herron; mother-in-law, Sara Herron; grandchildren, Bryson, Molli Anne, and Evyn Underwood and Jakob and Jared Pruitte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Anne Hearn Pruitte; and sister, Kimberly Pruitte.
Pallbearers will be the Lebanon Police Department Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Prayer Warriors Class at the Church of God Worship and Ministry Center, Dr. John Williams and the staff at Baptist Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Jerry’s name to the Children’s Ministry at the Church of God Worship and Ministry Center.
