Funeral services for Ms. Ashworth will be Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Brother Farris Doyle and Brother Howie Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-7 p.m. and Monday after 9 a.m. at Ligon & Bobo.
Ms. Ashworth, age 72, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at University Medical Center.
Born March 6, 1941 in Davidson County, she is the daughter of the late Clayton Manuel and Grace Elizabeth Candler Morse. She worked in home health care and was a waitress. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Pamela Jean Morse; two brothers, Gary Clayton Morse, Larry Neal Morse; and a nephew, Richard Thomas Smith.
She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Cagle (Fred) Montgomery, of Old Hickory, Helen Davis, of Copperhill, Va.; beloved animal child, Midnight; four nieces, Sherry (Danny) Strope, of Castalian Springs, Rita Bryant, of Greenwood, S.C., Teri (Robert) Kizer, of Virginia, Stacy (Ronnie) Mitchell, of Vinton, Va.; nephews, Jimmy (Teresa) Raines, of Lebanon, Chuck Davis, of Mississippi; special nephew, Colby Raines; numerous great nieces and nephews.
