Patricia Beamon

Services for Patricia Z. Beamon will be Thursday, April 10 at 1 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown with her son, James Beamon, and the Rev. Don Mathis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday after 11 a.m. Interment will be at Wilson County Memorial Park in Lebanon. Family members will serve as pallbearers. 

Mrs. Beamon, of Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 4, 2014, at her residence in Lebanon after an illness with pancreatic and liver cancer.  Born is Brush Creek, she was the daughter of the late James Fred Ashworth and Bettie Sue Ashworth. She attended school in Crisman, Ill., graduating from Chrisman High School in 1957. She worked in various professions ranging from senior designer and estimator at Lee Company, Terre Haute, Ind., to owner of and teacher at the Beamon's Ceramic Playhouse. Mrs. Beamon touched hundreds of lives through her love of ceramics and her caring, loving relationship with each individual who came into her shop. Her work and artistic touch continues today through her students. Mrs. Beamon retired in 1991. She and her husband, Melford, moved to Watertown in 1994 in order to be closer to her parents and family in the Watertown and Lebanon area. They moved to Lebanon in 2005 and lived in Lebanon ever since. Mrs. Beamon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Watertown. 

Survivors include her sons, James R. (Isabel) Beamon, of Hawaii, Ronald J. (Penny) Beamon, of Franklin; grandchildren, A.J. (Nora) Beamon, Nick Beamon, of Virginia, Ross Beamon, of Hawaii, Adrin Chism, of Nebraska, Heather Beamon and Hilary Beamon, of Tennessee, Adam (Michelle) Sanborn, of South Korea, Taylor Rhea, of New York, Benjamine Rhea, of Tennessee; great granddaughter, Peyton Beamon, of Virginia; sisters, Helen (Coleman) Walker, Linda Douglas and Sandra Ashworth all of Lebanon; nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Beamon was preceded in death by her husband, Melford R. Beamon; and her sister, Freda Sue. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 209 West Main St. Watertown, TN 37184.
