Graveside services and interment were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens. Eld. Ronnie Harrison officiated at the 4 p.m. services.
Mr. Poston, of Lebanon, died Monday afternoon May 19, 2014 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon at the age of 68, following an extended illness.
Mr. Poston was one of three sons of the late Theron Odell Poston and Geneva Vanatta Poston and was born Theron LaDon Poston on June 18, 1945 and was reared in the Grant Community.
A brother, Robert Poston preceded him in death.
On May 30, 1969 he was united in marriage to Difficult community native the former Peggy Carter at the Green Hollow home of her parents, James and Mary Davenport Carter. His wife preceded him in death on March 29, 2012 at the age of 61 following almost 43 years of marriage.
He was a 1963 graduate of Gordonsville High School and a member of the Maple Hill Church of Christ in Lebanon.
Mr. Poston was a retired employee of the Ross Gear Division of T.R.W. in Lebanon with over 40 years of service.
Surviving is his daughter, Angela Poston Williamson and husband Marcus of Nashville; son, Brad Poston and wife Toni of Lebanon; grandchildren, Clarke and Jace Williamson, James Wyatt Poston, Dakota Vetetoe; brother, Ronald Poston of Chapel Hill; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Poston; mother-in-law, Mary Carter of Bellwood; brothers-in-law, Jeff Carter and wife Kristi Taylor Carter, Jimmy Carter and wife Denise Hudson Carter, all of the Tanglewood community.
