Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 4 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bob Bush officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the service. Interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  

Mrs. Jennings, age 102, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Quality Care Health Center. Mrs. Jennings would have celebrated her 103 birthday Thursday, June 26th.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mary Rowan; husband, U.L. "Leon" Jennings Jr., who she married Jan. 6, 1940 in Staunton, Va.; sisters, Helen Rowan Pancake, Kathrine Rowan Anderson; niece, Gayle Anderson Schnecker.  

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Ann (James Ray) Gregory; sister, Ashton Rowan Critzer; grandchildren, Lisa (Bo) Ford, Cindy Gregory, Rene' (Joe) McKee, Jim (Mary Ann) Gregory Jr.; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Daniel Ford, Taylor and Jordan Webb, Aubrey McCrary, Zack (Lauren) Nelson and Jayme (Brad) Forrest; great-great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Ford, Emma and Kason Forrest and Easton Nelson; and numerous nephews and nieces.  

Mrs. Jennings was a 1929 graduate of Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Va. and Templeton Business College in Staunton, Va. She was a National DAR member and Descendant of Capt. Reuben Harrison DAR No. 685570. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a retired dental assistant for Dr. Fred Markley in Staunton, Va.  

Pallbearers will be James Ray Gregory, Jim Gregory Jr., Bo Ford, Joe McKee, Thomas Ford, Daniel Ford and Brad Forrest.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Caris Healthcare Hospice at 242 Heritage Park Drive, Suite 101, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 or your preferred charity or known need in her memory.
