Walter Paul Blankman

Visitation for Mr. Blankman will be held Saturday June 28 from 1-2 p.m. in the Bryant Chapel of Lebanon First United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. David Hesson.

Mr. Blankman, age 83, passed away Saturday June 21, 2014 in Lebanon.

He is the son of the late Carlton Sanford and Margaret Helen Chisholm Blankman.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marolyn M. Blankman; sons, David (Joy) Blankman, of Austin, Steve (Janet) Blankman, of Hendersonville; daughter, Greta (John Morris) Stromberg, of Prescott, Ariz.; mother of his children, Svea "Bunny" Morgan; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Gydessen, of Lyons Fall, N.Y.; stepsons, Jay (Penny) Hubbell and Allen (Leslie) Hubbell.  

He was a wonderful and beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a writer, photographer, motivational speaker, lover of life and he never met a stranger. As a young man he loved the Adirondacks and snow skiing.  Mr. Blankman was a member of Lebanon First United Methodist Church, a 32nd degree Mason and a retired industrial relations specialist.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in his memory to Lebanon First United Methodist Church or to The American Diabetes Association.
