George Robert Fleming

Graveside services with military honors for Mr. Fleming will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Groover officiating. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Fleming, age 87, of Donelson, died July 5, 2014.

Mr. Fleming was employed by IBEW Local No. 429 for more than 20 years. He was a past member of Cumberland Lodge No. 8 F&AM, the York Rite and Al Menah Shrine Temple.

Mr. Fleming was the son of the late, Jasper and Allie Fleming. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Fleming; and his son, George “Randy” Fleming.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Mathis; daughter-in-law, Laurie Fleming; grandchildren, Denise (Greg) Nash, Melissa Walker, Greg (Jenny) Mathis, Wayne (Katherine) Mathis, Heather (Tim) Cook, Christopher Fleming; great-grandchildren, Jim Waters, Jessica Waters, Jordan Waters, Michael Walker, Sarah Mathis, Elliot Mathis, Jovie Mathis, Autumn Cook; special friend, Marcelle Talley; and good friend, Joe Hicks.
