Ronald Dell Moore

Family and friends of Mr. Moore are invited to the visitation Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home at 247 Chestnut St. in Mifflinburg, Pa., where the memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Peter Bergstresser officiating.

Mr. Moore, 72, of Millmont, Pa. and formerly of Lebanon, entered into rest Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 4:58 a.m. at his residence.

He was born Oct. 12, 1941 in Grafton, W.Va., a son of the late Evelyn Mary Moore. On June 29, 1985, he married the former Jane Alice Hauck, who survives.

Ron graduated from Grafton High School.

In 1958 in Grafton, W.Va. he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving until his honorable discharge in 1962. 

Ron and his wife owned and operated four different bars in Tennessee during a 25-year span.

He was a member of the Mifflinburg American Legion, Post No. 410 and the Union County Pool League. 

Ron enjoyed shooting pool, watching NASCAR, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Rhonda Lynn and Scott Harris, of Lincoln Park, Mich., Shelly Maxwell, of Morgantown, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Jessica Harris, Scotty James Harris, Ashley Maxwell; four stepchildren and spouses, Deborah Ann and Edwin Johnson, of Millmont, Robert Lee and Rose Engle, of Montandon, Cynthia Lynn and Randy Liddle, of Murfreesboro, Clyde B. and Kathy Leech, of Carthage; six step grandchildren and spouses, Nicole and Kevin Paul, Jerry and Linda Johnson, Justin Engle, Mindy and Tyler Henley, Jody and Stephanie Leech, Rheanna Heflin, 13 step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna Rose, of Charleston, W.Va.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Vern Lake; and one sister, Mary Lake.
