In most small towns, the biggest and most elegant building on Main Street is the funeral home. Or an old-age home. These buildings always look as if they might be the starring attraction in Stephen King’s next novel.

It’s coming up on that time again.

Thumbs up to Wilson Central High School teachers Brad Major and DeAna Elwell for working with students to continue the Dogs for Dogs event for the second year. The event, planned for Saturday at Cori’s DogHouse in Mt. Juliet, looks to raise money for the Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter, Country K-9 Rescue and Dreamland Animal Rescue.
