First I would like to thank the staff of The Lebanon Democrat for printing my letters. Many news outlets today are so narrow and intolerant that they will not print any letter that disagrees with the staff position.

Sometimes looking into the dictionary is not enough. If you were to look up the word Christianity in Webster’s Dictionary, the first definition given is, “the religion derived from Jesus Christ, based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic, and Protestant bodies.”

Not that awful long ago, a mom, dad and their little girl were enjoying a nice autumn Saturday drive through southern Wilson County. Down through Watertown, over to Norene, then a picnic in Cedars of Lebanon.

Dear Editor: So much is happening in our world with politics and opinions and persecuting of Christians that it’s hard to even keep up anymore. I have more questions than answers. I long for the days to come back when we truly were the “Land of the Free.” What about the way our higher courts are treating God’s people? True Christians promote peace. Isn’t that what we stand for in our Country and what everyone wants? The media tries to make us look foolish and malign us.
