Thumbs up to Lebanon officials and GoodSports officials on reaching a deal Wednesday to bring one of the first in a chain of hotels and sports complexes to Lebanon’s Cumberland Center. The GoodSports Village consists of a 115-room GoodSports Hotel and a 60,000-square-feet indoor sports center next to it. The athlete-minded hotel is designed to serve the needs of travelling parents and athletes, separate or together. The hotel would feature a fitness center, dining, quiet lounge areas and spa-inspired bathrooms.

Thumbs up to the Cumberland’s women’s soccer team on its 3-1 season-opening victory over Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field.

Thumbs up to the Wilson County Election Commission for launching a new mobile app that allows voters to check their registration status, locate their polling location, view the Election Commission’s website and keep up with the wait times at early voting sites.

Thumbs up to Rep. Susan Lynn for being Tennessee recently named a “champion for prosperity” among state legislators by Americans for Prosperity. The ranking is based upon legislative votes taken and sponsorship of free-market legislation. The Tennessee legislators scoring the highest overall were selected as champions for prosperity.
