The tragic death of Robin Williams has brought the issue of suicide to our nation’s forefront once again. This loss of this man who brought joy and laughter to so many was shocking and a heartbreaking reminder of just how indiscriminate suicide can be.
Thumbs up to all of the candidates who won their respective seats in office during the Aug. 7 election in Wilson County, as well as those who came up short. Both sets of candidates are what make the democratic process so significant. Thumbs up also to the voters who turned out to the polls.
