Council calls Monday meeting
The Lebanon City Council will hold a special called meeting Monday at 7:30 a.m.
The meeting was originally planned for Nov. 6, but since that is Election Day, Mayor Philip Craighead opted to change the date and time so as not to conflict with voters.
The agenda for the meeting will include the second reading on several ordinances that were passed on first reading last Tuesday.
Among the items on the agenda will be an ordinance to replace an old headstone damaged in a recent storm, a line-item transfer to cover the final project costs of the Cedar City Trail, an ordinance to authorize using part of a state grant to repair cracks in a runway at the Lebanon Municipal Airport, an ordinance to buy a used vehicle for the Wastewater Plant and an ordinance to fund half the pay for a second officer to work in Lebanon's public housing neighborhoods.
Since all these items have already passed the council once, the meeting likely will be brief.
