Cumberland Center back on drawing board

A plan to create the Cumberland Center as part of an entertainment district in the city has been put on hold as officials plan to restart the process.

The plan for the center was under some pressure to be considered by the Wilson County Commission to meet state deadlines. That, combined with confusion on whether the plan should go to the state Capitol as a public or private act, forced supporters to forgo putting it on Monday's commission meeting agenda.
