Demise of Quail Unlimited is a somber sign
Quail Unlimited, a national organization that for 30 years has been in the forefront of efforts to restore the bobwhite quail, has closed its doors.
Ron Crabtree, a spokesman for the Tennessee chapter of Quail Unlimited, told noogaoutdoors.com, “I reached the conclusion two years ago that QU was finished.”
A statement issued by the organization said the decision to close was due to limited financing. Officials urged members to throw their support behind other quail-oriented organizations, such as Quail Forever.
