Electric bill up? Weather accounts for changes
Some have recently noticed an increase in their electric bills of late, but a spokesperson for the Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Cooperative said things aren't that different from last year during the same time period.
Todd Palmer, spokesperson for MTEMC, said after looking into the numbers he doesn't see a big change.
"Rates are very similar to last year," he said, explaining he looks at so-called "degree days" when examining electric costs.
