Elie repeats on All-Sun Belt team

Former Lebanon High star Icelyn Elie has been named second-team All-Sun Belt Conference, the league office announced Wednesday morning.

The Middle Tennessee State senior forward averaged 14.3 points and 7.4 rebounds in 29 games for the Raiders this season to earn a second team all-conference selection for the second consecutive year.

For the season, Elie ranked fourth in the Sun Belt in offensive rebounds, seventh in total rebounds and eighth in points scored. She has notched five double-doubles this season for 17 in her career.

She has grabbed five or more rebounds in 18 consecutive games since Dec. 27, 2012. She scored a career-high 30 points in the win over in-state rival Memphis on Nov. 11. The senior forward was the 28th member to reach the 1,000-point club and ranks 21st all-time with 1,239 career points.
