Lady Dawgs rally, but suffer second loss in OT
Fifth-ranked Cumberland erased a 17-point first-half deficit and had chances in regulation to secure the win but dropped a 61-59 decision to 14th-ranked Shawnee State in the NAIA Game of the Week here Thursday at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.
The Bulldogs (24-2, 15-2) lost for the first time since Jan. 3, ending an 11-game winning streak, after starting the game horribly but righting the ship after intermission, only to fall just short in the end.
