Lebanon breaks in new gym with five-set victory
Devilettes, Wilson Central win for new coaches

Lebanon made its debut in its new gym with a 21-25, 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 15-8 over Trousdale County on Tuesday.
Tatum Thompson totaled 26 assists for Lebanon while Alex Britt banged out 12 kills, Kelsey Yarbrough supplied six digs, Kelsey Yarbrough five aces and Nicole Painter three blocks as the Devilettes won for new coach Adrienne Dotson.
Lebanon also won the junior-varsity match 25-19, 25-21.
The teams will have a rematch in Hartsville next Monday with the JV serving off at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity at 5:30.
Lady 'Cats climb from behind to win McCorkle's debut
SMYRNA — Wilson Central had to take Smyrna the distance in Tuesday's season opener to emerge with a 14-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 15-5.
It made a winner of Holly McCorkle in her debut as Lady Wildcats coach. The former Cumberland Volleydawg was a longtime assistant under Tammy Serbin, who had coached Central since the school opened in 2001.
Libby Trowbridge had three digs, an ace, a kill and a block for Central while Amy Trice totaled 24 assists, an ace and a dig; Dariyan Stallings totaled 10 kills, eight digs and three aces; Brittany Wiseman eight digs, three kills and an ace; Korri Bowers 11 kills and five digs, Sierra Anderson five digs and four aces, Jordan Fitzgerald five assists and a kill, Kristen Guethlein two kills and two blocks, Kendall Roberts 16 digs and Shane Stover a block.
Central will go to A-Game in Franklin this weekend for the Bulldog Bash, hosted by Smyrna. Friendship Christian is also scheduled to participate in the event.
