Lebanon school board to set school calendar
The Lebanon Special School District’s board meeting scheduled for Monday should be fairly routine, according to Scott Benson, director of schools.
“It’ll be a relatively short meeting and a short agenda,” said Benson.
Board members are scheduled to vote on the 2012-13 district calendar.
“It’s very similar to this year’s calendar,” said Benson. “We still have the two weeks in the fall and the spring. We start that first week of August, and we’re out before Memorial Day.”
Benson said the district consulted with Wilson County Schools to try to coordinate the schedules.
Also on the agenda for Monday, the board will recognize students from Coles Ferry Elementary School as part of the board’s monthly spotlight on students.
The board will also continue the annual review and approval process on board policies. This month, the board will review sections B and C, which pertain to board operations and fiscal and business management, respectively.
The board will meet Monday at 5 p.m. in the Central Office.
