Edgar Allen Greene

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Greene will be held on Friday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. at Giles Creek Baptist Church in Smyrna where Mr. Greene attended. Bro. Terry Campbell will officiate the services.

Mr. Greene, 57, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at his residence.

He is survived by mother, Heidi H. Greene; father, Roger Greene; son, Eian A. Greene; sisters, Barbara (Randy) Arden and Sonja (David) Jones.

Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Wytauia Hemontolor

Graveside services for Mrs. Hemontolor were conducted by the Rev. Danny Sellars on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  The memorial service was Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon, followed by visitation from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Mrs. Hemontolor passed away on Dec. 28, 2012 at age 85.  

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Lynn) Wilhoite; grandchildren, Lyn Wilhoite III, Ben Wilhoite, Luke Wilhoite; sister, Ann Lannom; brother, William Fish; numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ernest Hemontolor; parents, William “Roscoe” Fish, Sudie Lester Fish; and sister, Ruby Rittenberry.

Lavonda Virginia Hooten

The family of Mrs. Hooten will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service. The chapel service, conducted Brother Danny Sellars and Brother Bill Fowler, is Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Conatser Cemetery.

Mrs. Hooten passed away on Dec. 31, 2012 at age 47.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Survivors include her loving companion, Tommy Thompson; son, Henry (Tina) Hooten; sisters, Jeanie Oliver, Debbie (Ricky) Woodard, Vicky (Eddie) Jones, Becky Oliver, Tracy (Danny) Martin; brother, Donnie Breece; grandchildren, Avery Joannah Hooten, Zachary Lucas Hooten; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David Lawrence Lowe Jr.

Mr. Lowe, 31, of Lebanon, died Dec. 25 at his home.

Services were Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel.Burial followed at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Bond Memorial Chapel.

Mary Agnes Jones

Mrs. Jones, 78, of Mt. Juliet, died Dec. 25 at her home.

Services were Sunday at 6 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel. Visitation was one hour prior to service time. Arrangements were by Bond Memorial Chapel.

Lyda Ricketts Ragsdale

Visitation for Mrs. Ragsdale was held on Sunday, Dec. 30 from 2-7 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Dr. Bruce Grubbs officiated the service. Interment followed in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  

Mrs. Ragsdale, age 84, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 in the St. Thomas Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gershon and Floy Tarpley Ricketts; husband, Sonny Ragsdale; brothers, Hall Ricketts, Edward Ricketts, Floyd Ricketts; sisters, Virginia Fuqua and Nettie Ruth Ricketts.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Joe) Lannom; brother, Clyde (Betty) Ricketts; special friends, Al and Carolyne Cook; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs.

Ragsdale was a member of Gladeville Baptist Church and a retired employee with the Baptist Sunday School Board.
Mrs. Ragsdale’s nephews served as active pallbearers.

Lawrence E. 'Larry' Wilcox

Funeral services for Mr. Wilcox, age 66, of Lebanon, are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Brother John Petree and Brother Rick Burns will officiate. Visitation with the family of Mr. Wilcox was on Tuesday Jan. 1, from 4-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Lebanon’s New Leash on Life or the Wounded Warrior Fund.

Mr. Wilcox was born June 14, 1946 to the late Robert Sr. and Viola Rue Wilcox in Athens, Tenn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva Sue Baker; and a brother, Ronnie Wilcox.

He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and later in life worked as an electrician in construction, as well as a construction manager for Nextel Communications in Nashville. He was an active member of the VFW, the National Electrical Brotherhood and was an avid golfer. Mr. Wilcox was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Mr. Wilcox is survived by his wife, Luanne Crace Wilcox; son, Christopher Wilcox; daughter, Melinda (Travis) Hart; brothers, Robert (Dona) Wilcox Jr., Jerry (Sally) Wilcox, Rodney (Glenda) Wilcox, Joel (Frances) Wilcox; sisters, Regina (R.C.) Baker, Lila Jean (Jim) Weihunt and Ms. Dale McElhaney. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Eric and Kennedy Hart; a special uncle, Danny (Erma) Rue; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Helen Crace; as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
