Johnny Yount Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Yount will be determined by family at a later date.
Mr. Yount was born Jan. 24, 1932. He died after battling with Stage 4 adenocarcinoma. He died at his oldest son's home, Johnny Yount Jr. and his wonderful wife Susan and their children Steven, Jasmine and her husband and their beautiful new granddaughter Janell.
Mr. Yount was preceded in death by his wife Jere who died Sept. 1, 2012. He was a longtime resident of Wilson County and a very great handyman. Anytime anyone needed some handywork around their home they would say "lets go get Johnny he will fix it." He also worked at Precision Rubber for years and he did handywork at some hotels and motels in the Lebanon area.
Survivors include daughter, Marcia and Jeff Cooper (Misty, Wendy, Jenny), Johnny Jr. and Susan, their children Steven, Jasmine, Krystal, Kelly, Roger Yount and Cathy Roger who Dad just had to tell before he passed how proud he was of him and how he was too tenderhearted, but keep up the good work with his shop in Georgia; Bobby Yount and Rosie, Bennie Yount and Rhonda, Regina Yount
Stewart and her two daughters who helped with their papa quite a bit, Ashley Taylor and Kristina Rigsby. He and his wife also raised his beautiful granddaughter as their own and she was a sister to me Angie Yount Johnston (Derek, Brittany) and little miss punky who pa loved so much. He also had three other sons and one
more daughter from his first marriage. He also had so very many grandchildren and great children he loves so very much.
Johnny Yount Sr. you are with your Saviour now and with your wife Jere whom you missed so very much. We will all miss you but we all know you are in a safer and better place now. Rest in peace.
