Oly Ross Hill
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Amason, Bro. David Dunn and Bro. Randy Stephenson officiating. Visitation 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Interment at Jennings Cemetery, Statesville.

Mr. Hill, 69, of Statesville, died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. Son of the late T.B Hill Jr. and Vonnie Boner Hill, he was preceded in death by brothers, T.B. Hill III, George Hill and Charles "Bud" Hill and a sister, Mary Louise Mobley. He was a retired machinist with CSX Railroad and a 25 year reserve officer with the Wilson County Sheriff's Dept.

Oly is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna Jennings Hill; children, Lory (Joe) Hall and Woody (Ladonna) Hill both of Watertown, Jamie (Billy Bogle) Garrison of Statesville; brother, Alvin (Nancy) Hill of Mt. Juliet; sisters, Jane Hartley and Gloria Bell Carney; grandchildren, T.J. and Jimmy Hall, Jesee, Nicholas, Samuel, Caden and Lilah Rose Hill, Chrissy (Ben Davis) Ashford, Emily Garrison; great-granddaughter, Harley Joe Ashford; stepchildren, Janice Lanee Williamson and Lee (Janet) Hays; stepgrandchildren, Lindsey and Logan Williamson, Casey Hays, Brandi and Tess Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sloan, Willie Patton, David Yoest, T.J. and Jimmy Hall, Nicholas Hill, Grey and Alvin Hill, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Wilson County Sheriff's Department.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at University Medical Center for their love and care.

J.V. Walpole

Visitation for Mr. Walpole will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Bro. Danny Sellars will officiate the services on Wednesday. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Walpole, 86, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in the V.A. Hospital. Mr. Walpole was a Navy veteran of WWII serving during D Day in Normandy and a retired employee of AVCO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Sophie Price Walpole; daughter, Patricia Ann Walpole; wives, Virginia Gaston Walpole Dodd, Beulah Mae Walpole and Dorothy Jennings Walpole; three sisters, Ruby, Lilly and Edna and one brother, Buster; three nephews and one niece.

He is survived by sisters, Christine Clinton and Jean Campbell; grandsons, Scott Mitchell and Troy Davis; great-granddaughter, Amy Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Sarah Wright

Ms. Wright, 98, of Hartsville, died Monday.

Services for Ms. Wright will be Wednesday at 1 St. John M.B. Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. at the church.

Carr-Hellum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
