Jerry T. Huddleston
Funeral services for Mr. Huddleston are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Roland Scruggs and Bro. William Mulroy officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday after 11 a.m. at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Huddleston, 84, of Mt. Juliet passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Lebanon.

Born Oct. 14, 1928, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Robert Clennie and Vera Leftwich Huddleston. He graduated from Baxter Seminary and retired from Ford Glass Plant with 30 years’ service. He was a member of Westland United Methodist Church. His love of sports was shared with family in Lebanon High Football, Lebanon Babe Ruth, and Mt. Juliet Little League and Babe Ruth.

He enjoyed camping at Fall Creek Falls which he had done since 1975. He especially enjoyed visiting the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center in the last years.  The love he received there was appreciated.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2000, Betty Crisler Huddleston, whom he married in 1948; two brothers, Max and Gordon Huddleston; and two sisters, Nell Huddleston Wyatt and Betty Jean Huddleston Fletcher.

He is survived by children, Jerry Martin (Wanda) Huddleston of Mt. Juliet; Mike (Jane) Huddleston of Gallatin; Tim (Robbie) Huddleston of Cookeville; Steve (Rita Bohr) Huddleston of Murfreesboro; and Aaron (Pam) Huddleston of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Shane Huddleston, Wayne (Brandi) Huddleston all of Gallatin; Tiffany (Charlie) Huddleston and Chad (Hannah) Huddleston all of Cookeville; Brandon (Lauren) Huddleston of Port Orange, Fla.; and Beth (Aaron) Eakes of Mt. Juliet; four great-grandchildren, Addison Huddleston, Noah Jones, Rylee Eakes, and Bayleigh Watson; sister, Willene Fitzpatrick of Oak Ridge; and a special friend, Joan Dushek.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and Austin Britt.

Memorials may be made to Lebanon Senior Citizens Center.

Roy Douglas Majors Sr.

Family visitation for Mr. Majors will be Saturday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. until noon. The funeral will commence at the chiming hour of noon at J.C Hellum Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bobby Sanders serving as eulogist. Interment will be in Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Mt. Juliet.

Mr. Majors, 71, of Mt. Juliet, died Nov. 26, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Oldham Majors; sons, Glen (Buddy) Hardy, Roy Jr., Tonnie, Phillip and Darryl Majors; daughter, Priscilla (Jimmy) Williams; stepchildren, Debra Smith, Leonard Jr., Marion, Wendell and Dana Bender; sisters, Minnie Clemmons and Agnes (Clarence) Hardy; and brothers, John (Virginia), Henslee (Ivy Lee) and Jesse Majors.
