Peggy Elizabeth Patterson “Granny” Beaty
Mrs. Beaty, 87, of Hermitage, died Friday.
Services were conducted at noon Monday at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Caraway Cemetery. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
George W. Clark
Private services for the family will be held on Nov. 10, 2012.
Mr. Clark passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2012. He was born in Lenoir City, N.C. and was a long time resident of Northern Virginia and Decatur, Ga. retiring in beautiful Lebanon. George was a Sgt. in the US Air Force serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, whom he adored, Marlene Clark; three children, George Russell (Caryl) Clark of Waterford, Wisc., Michael Clark of Lebanon and (Tim) Patti Watts of Watertown; six grandchildren, Cassi, Kati, Kelli, Ericka, Kayla and Dakota who he loved so much and eight great-grandchildren.
Mable Frances Jennings
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Mathis officiating. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and prior to services Tuesday. Interment at Wilson County Memorial Park, Lebanon.
Mrs. Jennings, 94, of Watertown, died Saturday evening, Nov. 3, 2012 at the home of her nephew in Christiana, Tenn. Frances was a graduate of Watertown High School and retired in 1983 from the State of Tennessee Retirement Division. She was a member of the Watertown First Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Gary and Selma Barbee Patton and was preceded in death by her husband, Elby P. Jennings, Jr. on July 16, 2008; brother, Harry Clay Patton and sister, Lallie Hildreth O'Neal.
Frances is survived by her nephew, Paul E. Jennings and his wife, Suzanne of Christiana; great-niece, Stephanie (Jim) Edwards of Nashville; great-nephews, Paul G. (Lisa) Jennings of Nashville and Paschal (Lauren) Jennings of Smyrna; great-great-nieces, Abigail Grace and Margaret Elizabeth Jennings; great-great-nephew, Jacob Page Edwards.
Gladys W. Linville
Mrs. Linville, 86, of Old Hickory, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.
Funeral services for Mrs. Linville will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Jenkins Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs.
William B. Morrissey
William B. Morrissey, 72, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday.
Funeral mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Community Church in Old Hickory. Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the church with a vigil at 7 p.m. Sellars Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Louis Kenneth Simms
Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 2-6 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were on Monday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with visitation from 12 noon until service. Interment followed at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Simms, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the University Medical Center. Mr. Simms was a Army Veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver with Tucker Freight Line and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by parents, Will W. and Elizabeth Simms; wife, Dora Ann Simms; sisters, Lucille Harlan and Beth Lindsley; brother, William Vincent Simms; and son, Tony Goodall.
Survived by brother, Julian Simms of Georgia; sisters, Evelyn Carmichael of Knoxville and Joyce (Woody) Woodall of Springfield; children, Dianne (Cliff) Cozart, Jim (Marcia) Goodall, Jan (Richard) Theoret of Canada, Joe (Cathy) Goodall and Debbie (Steve) Pollock of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers, Friends and family at Four Winds Truck Stop.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the local VFW.
