A Celebration of Life for Ms. Marie Allmon is scheduled to be conducted Thursday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. Bro. Matt Long will officiate. Interment will follow in the Allmon Family Cemetery on Agee Branch in Gordonsville. Visitation with the Allmon family will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and on Thursday 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
Ms. Allmon, 66, of Pleasant Shade, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage.
Marie was born Oct. 23, 1946 in Carthage; the daughter of the late J.T. Allmon and Katherine Napier.
Ms. Marie Allmon is survived by her three children, Jonathan Connery of Houston, Texas, Angel Roberts of Carthage and Teresa Murchie of Carthage; two grandchildren, Shane Lee Ramsey and Chelsea Roberts; brothers, Ray Allmon of Carthage and Jack Allmon of Conyers, Ga.; sister; Linda Garvey of Bellevue.
Cory Richard Clifft
Funeral services for Mr. Clifft will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18 at noon at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. David Taft officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Randy Clifft, Terry Clifft, Chris Clifft, Cameron Hunter, Casey Spicer, Rick Baker, Kendall Talley and Shaun Carden serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family was Monday from 2-8 p.m. and will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Clifft, 18 of Mt. Juliet, passed away Dec. 15, 2012.
He is survived by father, Randy Clifft; mother, Candace (Charles) Carden; brothers, Terry Clifft and Christopher Clifft; grandparents, Rick and Lynn Baker and Billy and Judy Clifft; great-grandmother, Juanita (David) Brown; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brenda Gayle “Mammy” Crawford
The family of Mrs. Crawford will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon (at Stone Mansion, 416 Rome Pike) from 11 a.m. until the service on Tuesday. Funeral Service, conducted by Bro. Danny Sellars, Bro. Bill Fowler and Bro. Donald Hatcher is 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Crawford, 59, from Bellwood Community, passed away on Dec. 14, 2012.
Survivors include husband of 30 years, James Crawford; children, Wanda (Terry) Lackey, Terry (Leanna) Crawford and Heather (Joe) Floyd; sisters, Ruth (Jack) Sircy, Joann Gill, Bobbie Jean (Georgie) Carver and Peggy (Charlie) Kramer; and brother, Kenny Thackston. She is preceded in death by parents, Billy and Fannie Mae Swift Thackston Hunter; step-father Luke Hunter; and grandmother Daisy Swift.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Freeberg will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Willow Grove United Methodist Church, 340 Honeysuckle Lane, Bethpage, Tn. Pastor Sue West and Dr. David West will officiate the service.
Ms. Freeberg, 82, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at her residence. Ms. Freeberg was a member of Willow Grove United Methodist Church and a former employee for Josten’s.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Esther Marie Olson Freeberg; brothers, Arthur Freeberg, Helding Freeberg and Walter Freeberg; sister, Evelyn Axon.
She is survived by sons, Hugh (Sandy) Duffy, Robert (Elizabeth) Duffy; daughter, Sue (David) West; brothers, Harold Freeberg and Donald (Bonnie) Freeberg; sisters, Ruth Loewy, Marion Slomski, Dorothy Scialabba and Alice (Mike) Dombrowski; grandchildren, Lisa (Joe) Proctor, Michael Madderom, Chris (Marie) Madderom, Cara Duffy, Meghan Duffy, Samantha Duffy, Johnathan Duffy, Amanda (Tim) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Susan Madderom, Kimee Proctor, Dylan Proctor, Kaylee Madderom, Peyton Madderom, Timmy and Layla Thompson; sister-in-law, Pat Freeberg; numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Linda Charlene Johnson
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Bellwood House of Prayer with Bro. Bill Fowler officiating.
Ms. Johnson, 60, of Carthage, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Coffee and her half-sister, Olean Rogers.
She is survived by children, Scottie Berry and Nancy Tomlinson; mother, Rosie Pearl Barnes Coffee; brothers, Charles “Bubba” Coffee, Michael Coffee, Doyle Coffee and Otis Coffee; sisters, Ann Cauley, Teresa Hale and Stella Coffee; half-sisters, Judy Woodard and Mary Binkley; grandchildren, Samantha Davenport, Ethan Davenport, Medesta Berry, Nathan Berry, Gracie Berry and Jefferey Vanatta; and great-grandchild, Izzie Vanatta.

Albert David Panter
A private graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Panter, 90, of Hermitage, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.
He was preceded in death by wife, Maxine Panter. Survivors include children, Vicky Pittman and Jeff Panter; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many other loving family and friends.
Hermitage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Floyd D. Ricketts
Funeral services for Mr. Ricketts were conducted Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home with Michael Grooms officiating. Interment followed in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Ricketts family was held at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Ricketts, 76, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. Floyd was born Aug. 11, 1936 in Wilson County, the son of the late Girsham Greely and Floy Tarpley Ricketts. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Hall and Edward Ricketts; two sisters: Virginia Fuqua and Nettie Ruth Ricketts.
Mr. Ricketts was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and later graduated from John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science. He worked for over 50 years as a funeral director and embalmer in Wilson County, having owned Ligon & Bobo-Ricketts Funeral Home from 1976 to 1980. He was a member of the Highland Heights Church of Christ. He married Nelle Jones on Oct. 28, 1960.
Mr. Ricketts is survived by his wife of 52 years; Nelle Ricketts of Lebanon; brother, Clyde (Betty Sue) Ricketts of Gladeville; sister, Lyda Ragsdale of Gladeville; two sisters-in-law: Louise Ricketts of Mt. Juliet and Mary Ann Ricketts of Gladeville.
Bass Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Amon Newton Snyder
Services for Mr. Snyder will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at First Baptist Church, Alexandria with Bro. Michael Cantrell, Bro. Don Elmore and Bro. Curt Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until the service Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Snyder, 93, of Alexandria, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at his residence. He was a teacher and a Deacon, past Sunday School director, past church training director and church treasurer for 33 years at First Baptist Church, Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by parents, James Roscoe Snyder and Jennie Hendrixson; and sisters, Stella Corley and Lacye Mullinax.
Survivors include wife of 60 years, Lucy Snyder of Alexandria; children, Jeffrey (Lou Ann) Snyder and Penny (David) Thompson, both of Alexandria and Jamie (Twyla) Snyder of Dickson; grandchildren, Megan Thompson of Lebanon, Shelley Snyder of Fort Worth, Texas, Drew Thompson of Alexandria, Levi Snyder of Virginia Beach, Va. and Winston Snyder, Colton Snyder and Holden Snyder, all of Dickson; and nieces and nephews, Billye (Harold) Foster, Charles (Jan) Mullinax, Greg (Judy) Corley and Martha Corley.
Pallbearers will be Drew Thompson, Levi Snyder, Winston Snyder, Colton Snyder, Bobby Vickers, Billy Walker, Terry Clark and John Carroll Vaden.
James Edward (Jim) Trusty
Visitation for Mr. Trusty will be Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Chapel, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville. Interment following in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Trusty, 77, passed away peacefully on Dec. 14, 2012, from complications of brain cancer during Alive Hospice care at his residence. Jim attended Clemmons Grammar School, graduated from West End High School, Nashville, and attended University of Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Army with assignments including Ft. Leonard Wood (Missouri) and Island of Guam and was honorably discharged June 1963.
A licensed real estate broker for most of his business career in Middle Tennessee, his genuine passion was aviation. He was a qualified pilot and instructor in multiple types of aircraft who taught hundreds of individuals to fly. Working primarily at Smyrna Regional Airport, he loved piloting the MU2 at Howell Enterprises. He was heavily involved in various FAA Safety Programs and authored many articles for various aviation publications with the major focus on safety. He received many FAA District and Regional Performance Awards over the years with his proudest achievement being selected as the 1997 Certificated Flight Instructor of the Year by the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration.
He was preceded in death by mother Clara Smith Trusty Schmittou and father Thomas J. Trusty. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Donna Sue Matthews Trusty; son, William Jeffrey Matthews; wife, Rebecca Chace Matthews, and granddaughter, Madeleine Devereaux Matthews (Roswell, Ga.); mother-in-law, Martha Tillman and brother-in-law, Michael Tillman (Nashville); niece, Shannon Markham Bell (Douglas) and grand-niece Esther JoAnne Bell (Springfield); and special friends, Henry McCall and Howard Sanders (Nashville), Linda A. Quarles (Brentwood) and Patricia M. Wallenberg (Illinois).
The family expresses special thanks to Alive Hospice staff for easing his final weeks and to his many friends who called, emailed and visited.
Pallbearers are William Jeffrey Matthews, Reece Howell III, John Black, Clay Cook, Robert Hill, Dr. Ken Holbert, Paul Jones, Paul Lamb and Larry Williams.
Valerie Lynn Faulkner Brown
Ms. Brown, 28, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Opal Esther Ebest
Ms. Ebest, 98, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at Providence Place Assisted Living Facility.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Nancy Belle Curtis Foley
Ms. Foley, 67, of Nashville, died Dec. 14, 2012.
Services for Ms. Foley will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at St. Edwards Catholic Community. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.
Betty A. Gann
Ms. Gann, 77, died on Dec. 17, 2012.
