Richard O. Means

Mr. Means, a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel and master navigator, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at his home in Scenic Hills community, in Schertz, Texas, at the age of 85. For service information, and to sign guestbook, please go to www.schertzfuneralhome.com.

Charlene "Grandmommie" McCoy

Funeral service for Mrs. McCoy will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Tramel officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at the Carlen Cemetery in Silver Point, Tenn.

Mrs. McCoy, 84, passed away peacefully in her home in Prospect, Ky., on Dec. 4, 2012 surrounded by her daughter and grandchildren. She was a long time resident of Shop Springs, Tenn., until she moved to Prospect about two years ago to live with her daughter. She was a member of Shop Springs Baptist Church.

She was born on Oct. 18, 1928 in Putnam County, Tenn. to the late John and Edna Evans. She joins her late husband of almost 62 years, Lewis Newland McCoy in Heaven.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She was well-known for her cooking and homemaker skills. She was full of charm, grace, strength and love until the very end. As the matriarch of the family, Charlene devoted her life to thinking of others and making wonderful, life-long memories for all who knew her. She served her church in the kitchen, choir, WMU, and as a Sunday School teacher. She worked many years outside the home too, her last job being that of manager of Leroy's Dress Shop in Lebanon.

She graduated from Baxter Seminary where she was "Miss Baxter Seminary." She was also a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, an educational, leadership and service organization. She extended her home, love and kindness to all who knew her.

Charlene was preceded in death by her sister, "Sally" Juanita Evans and granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Middleton.

She is survived by her only daughter, Elizabeth Darlene Middleton; grandchildren, Angela McCorkle Buckler (Jeff), Katherine Ann Middleton; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Maya Buckler; and many nieces and nephews.

Connie June Strong

Funeral services will Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Celina, Tenn. Burial will be in the Clementsville cemetery. Bro. Edward Pugh will officiate the service.

Mrs. Strong, 61, of Lebanon, passed away at the River View Medical Center on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. Mrs. Strong was born on March 23, 1951 in Clay County, Tenn. to her late parent Edyth (King) Copas. She worked as a clerk and was a member of the Good Home United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Strong of Lebanon; son, Robert Strong, Jr. of College Station, Texas' mother in-law, Geraldine Strong of Celina, Tenn.; devoted aunt, Elaine Cherry of Moss, Tenn.; devoted aunt, Mary Ann; and devoted uncle, Charles Hamilton of Celina, Tenn.

Lloyd Arthur Wegner

A Military Graveside service for Mr. Wegner will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Bishop Clark Maxfield will officiate the service.

Mr. Wegner, 85, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center. Mr. Wegner was in the Merchant Marines, Army and Air Force with 23 1/2 years of service. He was also retired from The United States Post Office with over 20 years of service and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was preceded in death by parents, Rudolph and Lucille Wegner and daughter, Diana Johnston.

He is survived by son, Karl and Suzanne Wegner; daughter, Kathleen Dodd; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Hendricks, Adrian McNabb, Scott Lorden, and Members of The Roughneck MC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Frank Ford Williams Jr.
Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 2-4 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. in the Partlow Chapel. Rev. David Freeman and Don McElroy will officiate the services. Funeral service and interment will take place in Chattanooga.
Mr. Williams, 93, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Hearthside at Castle Heights. Mr. Williams was a member of the Christian Church and was employed as a Grocery Store owner.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Ford Sr. and Ella Mae Ligon Williams; wife, Margaret Weidner Williams.
He is survived by daughters, Linda (Don) Chambers and Christy (Randy) Bowen; sister, Betty Lee Patterson; grandchildren, Glenn (Nora) Chambers, Kellie (Monty) Mires, Michelle (Dan) Coe, Jennifer (Rodney) Burr, Amy Bowen and April (James) Billings; 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made in Mr. Williams’ memory to the Gideon’s International.

Austin E. Mullen

Mr. Mullen died Thursday.

A graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Wilson County Memorial Park.

Brenda Williams

Ms. Williams, 64, of Old Hickory, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at her residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bond Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday.
